Summary from me, stop the anime and go read the novel or the original web novel.
This show skips a lot of material from the novels, it rolled almost a full book worth of material into a little scene with music playing in episode 6. Much of the gore and darker elements have been removed and brushed off. Many instances of character development have been removed which would have given a deeper understanding of situations and personalities. Even ceratin characters have a completely different feel to them then from the books. Almost like the anime screenwriters are just trying to remove the darker elements and
...
make this a pure love comedy.
The art is not the worst but I feel it should be sharper and less pastel in nature. Certain details seem off and changed to make drawing easier with disregard to show quality and presentation.
Weapons, Vehicles, and some monsters seem to really suffer from this neglect.
The weapon Firing art seems to be also misjudged and done poorly...(railguns firing lob shots you can see arc like a cannon?)
Fight scenes suffer the most with cut backs, poor effects, and edited to be less brutal or drawing intensive.
The Music....it is decent but the fight scene music feels very misplaced for this kind of show and completely ruins it to the point of pausing the show to turn on other music that fits better and is less of a drag.
I will update later with more instances...but I feel this anime adaption seriously smears mud on what was originally a great novel that I fell in love with. I ended up reading the first 9 books in 3 weeks...it normally takes me a month to read 1 light novel as a perspective. And this anime had me feeling ashamed and facepalming.
