SPOILERS_AHEAD!!!
i have mixed reaction after watching this one.
My rating: when i watched episode 1-6 its a 9 out of 10, 7-11 its a 8 out of 10, 12-17 its a 7 out of 10, 19-21 its a 6 out of 10 then 22-26 its a 5 out of 10.
Storyline: episode 1 made me more curious about Clare past because it seems the plot is going that way. then the flashback appeared, at first i don't know who's who but then Clare was a mute then she can talk, all thanks to Teresa. Even Teresa character are a bit mean and arrogant which is to be
...
expect from these Claymores community but she changed after she encounter Clare. After the death of Teresa killing by 'about to be Number 2' Prescila in a 'Yoma' mode which made her a hypocrite since she's confused that she believe herself she's was not Yoma (though she is), Clare become Claymore with one goal on her mind "defeat Prescila the special awakened being" . Clare met & help a boy name Raki, his character are somewhat mediocre just to made the plot relates to Clare move forward. Clare got to faced Prescila in an ultimate awakened mode but did not get to killed her since Raki (spoil brat) stops her at the moment she was about to decapitate & later Clare gets changed back from awakened state with Number 9 sacrificed which also led Prescila get taken away by Isley, another strong awaken beings. Seems like they just want to made Season 2 just to let Prescila be in a primary plot again--- even though season 2 didn't happened. If Clare want to killed Prescila, it's her choice since she became a Claymore -- a very hard job to become one since they have to 100% follow orders from the superiors or else get punished, instead the brat kid want her to lived & not killed prescila just because her family died from Yoma attack, in that day and age, killing is considered a daily thing, if Clare become awakened after killing Prescila will be chaos but she won't, because if she have a little bit of conscious in her knowing she's Yoma type, she'd suicide... her mind was made up with memories where Teresa was in it, since her life become happy after Teresa raised her but got killed bv Prescila (which is not justified to let Presila lived or else other strong awakened beings like Isley got advantage to make his comrade strong against humanity). If killing Prescila is wrong then why do they need to kill Yoma or awakened? if they are Awakened or Yoma not Claymore they are illegal to lived in this world because sooner or later they will kill people for hunger. Like Prescila killing someone family in a cave, even Rika saw but not panic just a depressing surprised, why in the hell was he not afraid by running away? i'm pretty sure he's attracted to her since she's pretty (that's why he don't want her to die in the 26 episode), Rika is an abomination to the story, just because he saved her from turning to awakened in the previous episode, it doesn't mean the writers have to take advantage to Clare goals, if he saved Clare then he should be grateful since she save him multiple times. he save her when she beg to decapitate her by hugging her & say that he want to die too, in the laters episode we see Clare & Raki part ways with Clare giving him a promise kissed... he should've understand more that from that points on he should taken seriously about protecting her when they met again, instead he coward because he don't want to see Clare turn awakened, this is where i feel betrayed as a viewers, but somehow its ok, because if he cowards, Clare have a chance to go to killed Prescila which she didn't fulfill her revenge. Rika is a weak character but kind heart, but awefully not co-operate with the plot, if he saw Prescila killing someone in a gorely way & disappoint to see her eating human then mentally breakdown because he don't want to see Clare like that, then what in the actual sh*t was he hugging Prescila from being, i don't know anymore, though i agree why he can't kill her since he's not a fighter. If Raki was a priest or a convent worker it make since, since his character is kind & coward. Moreover the Claymore community where the superiors make rules was not shown much in the anime, which made me think, are they the main villain of the story & Awakened type was just a secondary bad guys in the story? All they cared is an experiment with these women to fight against Yoma, who's strong and who's weak. The universe in this anime are not fair. it's ridiculous, but if the viewers concentrate on Clare storyline then its a very entertained but sometimes mixed reaction. The Abyss Awakened was so strong and it seems they are against Isley, they have small screen time but never appear again, they are probably the third bad guys in the story.
OVERALL: its a good anime but disappoint ending.

SPOILERS Review!!!
From manga pages to anime, if you read in manga you'd experience a very enjoyment time with the story however the studio should've think twice before making it into anime adaptation. This anime directions are very weak... i'm totally confused during the flashback & illusion... are they the same? i really want to understand, do kuromitsu love kurou? if yes, how & when? the story doesn't convincing me at all, if the romance between them started when they met eye to eye, it's a poor-executive especially to show they love each other thats why its so plain & too dull for the plot to
...
go forward. Kurou partner (Benkei) decapitate him then what happen next, did he runaway? did he explain to kuromitsu? he's not confessing his love? why does he work with red army, does love made him go crazy? maybe yes as we can see he confessed her (12episode) but its not effective at all for the plot... its full of overused of suspension & mysteries. she fell after getting shot during WW2 (1945) later kuruta team extract blood form her and guard it then izuna used it during emergency & die, why was he's so obsessed? kurimitsu was captured? the cave people was killed by the old guy & ivy girl working for the red army to capture kurimitsu who is working with the red army to crate her new body for kurou with the support of Red army leader who doesn't care if kurou dead or alive... after kurimitsu was carried away after she fell (after getting shots) according to karuta & saniwa (when they explain to kurou) said after 20years later i.e. present day, what the hell? means 1965 this events took place? how is it so modern? the looks of the story seems like kuromitsu just playing with kurou as a play thing, she's like a child who love her play thing too much then play with it forever. In one scene kurimitsu said she had given blood to someone once by letting him bite her neck while they are naked, turns out he's Kuon all along even though he was create during 1962 or 1963 (if present day took place 1965), the scene when kuon met original kuon was just to set up that kuon clone will go crazy just to let him know the truth about himself & it seem he remember he love kurimitsu? also we did not see his dead body after falling (when kurou intend to loose his hand grip), does this mean kurou relives in a loop, fight the same enemy with the same fate again and again, thats even worst to moved the plot forward. In this anime do they work with magic or science i don't know its not clear at all, seems they do magic then with science ... its a supernatural beings covert with science tech, its ridiculous, there's only a few animes outthere that 'magic & science' were put in a plot & worked, many failed including this one. i guess my opinion on this because the anime was made only 12 episodes so that the plot sped it up but i'm pretty sure it will be an absurd version if it was made 24 episodes or another 2-3seasons continued, its too boring if they extend the plot.
Overall: i'd say the anime have a potential to be a fine one especially episode one its 10/10 i love it then episode 2 to 6 its a 2/10 (awfully bad) but what irritates me the most was the goddamn flashback... is it really happening or an illusion? this really disappoint me.

The way i see this anime is captivating me.
Here's how i see it, this is the true Rom-com anime, that was released in this April 2022. To be honest the story is about how much Fudo & Desumi try their very hard to hide the controversial romantic relationship from the public eyes, which turns out to be very fun to watch since it's so hilarious.
i usually look at the main protagonist (man), if he is a responsible guy & serious about the relationship, i'd say it's going to be a very interesting anime. i don't like cheap MC who cares only about killing or ecchi
...
moments or his own personal goal but the MC here Fudo-kun is so serious about his goal to be a better hero to protect the people from Gekko (enemy), if this is the only thing Fudo cares then this anime probably a boring one but not only he cares about that, he falls in love and cherish that love seriously. His goal as a hero and as a boyfriend of Desumi walks side by side in his daily life which is very true to its genre. i know it has some weak plot here and there but if you look only at the romantic chemistry of those two, this already become a very good and worthy anime to recommend to others. It has a very bright tone and is very cute. I really hope Season 2 is green-lit.

just finished watching this one. it's a very fun anime to watch. i really praised its story about Rika and Satoko, this is a reboot/remake of the 2006 version (even though this one has about 24 rather than 26eps.) the only thing that disappoints me in this anime because in some episodes the characters seem to not taking seriously about what happens to surround them however i like the animation and the focussing on Rika character about what she is? or who is she? or what is her purpose to be alive?
There are many different scenes set up by a story compared to the bloody
...
& creepy version (2006).
The anime lacks details on how it's connected to each case (murder case or missing case) but i think they did it clever here so that the audience feels suspense but then '2006' tops this one, i'm not saying this one isn't violence but let me reassure you that it's so gory and violence at the same time the direction on how and what each of the characters would do or can do are very terrifying.

The anime is very entertaining, the audiences can't think straight about whom they should trust... the story has twists and turns no matter what prediction we made. there are many arc/side stories in the anime i really praised, from suspense to "serve you right" moments to depressed/sad violence scenes and i don't want to spoil it but it's a very gory anime i have ever seen yet!
Before i watch this i first watched the remake/reboot version of this anime released in 2020, however, in my opinion, this version is more interesting to watch for its details and horror atmosphere, but, the dialogues and screenplays gave
...
me a few weak points in it.

The anime is about love problems... its a very fun anime to watch however episode 1 came out very weak for the story but then episodes 2 to episode 8 are very enjoyable then come episodes 9 to 12... these episodes are very ridiculous when it comes to logical sense of what relates to the main story though it holds a strong point in some scenes, the MC is making the audience doesn't trust his character, yes he's a very kind person yes he's a lovable person but sometimes he's like an NPC (which is very annoying), also the evil characters in the anime are
...
not quite evil at all they just change of heart at the last moment which is kind of hilarious not effective.
