I love re zero season 1 and i think it's so different from any other anime let alone Isekai genre. S1 has really good animation, amazing soundtrack (i still listening to some of them till now since 2016) and the art were pretty consistent for what it is until it finished aired.
Re:zero season 2 continues where s1 left off (they followed 1:1 to the novel) and so far its been immensely good, up until recent episodes. I think one of the strongest talking point of season 2 is how the author uses the Trial stuff in the sanctuary arc for a room for character
