These two manga are almost nothing alike, I'm sorry, but both are highly awesome. I read them back to back and was in LOVE the entire time. I swear, I was in a haze for a good two weeks. Basara: Main reason I read it, the main character crossdresses. Then she falls for her mortal enemy, who wants to kill her alter ego. I will not give any more than that. :P Kanata Kara: A girl is transported from Japan to an unfamiliar, fantasy world where she knows no one, nothing, and can't even communicate with the natives. Personally, I loved every single scene where she was learning the language. And if that is enough, then just read for the bishies.

If you liked Princess Tutu add

...then you might like Shugo Chara! add

1. Both of these animes have magical girls in them, and can be quite dark at times. Strike that, Tutu gets very dark. Do not let the awesome ballet fool you. 2. Both have rather quick transformation scenes. Tutu is really the only one who transforms, but Chara has more and does a pretty good job of condensing. 3. Bishies.
