Goblin Slayer strays away from the usual kinds of shows in its genre. Unlike other action and adventure shows that star reckless main characters who's main shtick revolves around idiocy and wild cards, Goblin Slayer reminds its audience that ignorance and overestimating yourself (or underestimating others) can have adverse side affects. Goblin Slayer illustrates this by displaying the tragic outcomes of those who thought lightly of the low leveled goblins and ended up paying dearly. The show continues to contrast this with a knowledgeable and overall competent protagonist who places great emphasis on even the smallest of details to ensure that tragic outcomes will at least

not occur from slight mishaps or hubris.
Story: 7
Very Straightforward. When looking at the show itself and not the message, the show is pretty much about slaying goblins. Pretty simple but definitely a lot better than shows that try too hard to seem deep but then crash and burn. Simple shows like this can't really crash and burn like that if they continue to work off of what the title at least says its about. Enjoyable if you like simple heroic protagonists. In Goblin Slayer, the enemies are pretty much all rapists and Mr. Goblin Cop fines them every episode. Some might find the rape part to be unsettling and that make sense. Though I should remind others still on the fence about watching the show over this is that the show pretty much is about the glorified mass slaughters of the rapists. It is in no way making pleasure off of those scenes as they are both censored and very brutally portrayed and is followed with payback.

Fulfills the standard. What you'd expect but in no way bad.
Sound: 9
Also pretty standard, but not in a bad way as it delivers what we want. Me personally though, I like the ending song only because I'm familiar with their other songs.
Characters: 7
They're pretty generic to be honest. Goblin Slayer is pretty socially unaware because he specializes in something a bit more practically for his lifestyle. Dwarf and Lizard seem like people you'd meet at your local bar. Archer is probably the most generic tsundere though. Priestess/cover girl is generic cute but still cute nonetheless.
Enjoyment: 10
Pretty straight forward show, though me personally, I think they still could have portrayed the goblins as evil without the rape scenes. It seems silly and unrealistic that a species has only one sex in it but can't asexually reproduce, kinda like the Asaris. Regardless, I think straightforwardness is a positive trait in anime. Its definitely a breath of fresh air from the other shows that might try to hard to appear deep but end up flopping over towards the end. Some good ol' hack n' slash simplicity is not bad once in a while
Overall: 10
It isn't mathematically correct in terms of the average of the other ratings but I give 10s to anything worth re watching. I recommend this show because it reminds us that the side affects of poor decisions are indiscriminate. It does not matter if you're an old person, a child, or an adolescent of anime protagonist age. It'll come bite you for even minor oversights. Goblin Slayer tries to tell us that if we come prepared and still fail, at least we can't blame ourselves for things that could not have been prevented.
