Idaten deities is a fun anime. Despite its weak plot, and its questionable scenes. This anime never fails to entertain me. Animes like this are quite rare, because it lacks storytelling and character development but succeeds in almost every other criteria. Every character interaction in this show is funny. (With a few exceptions)
Since it is written by the same dude that made Interspecies Reviewers. You can expect some fan service in almost every episode. So, if you don't like fan service. I do not recommend this show. Also, episode 1 has an inappropriate scene. To describe it as mildly as possible. A group of soldiers
...
does a terrible thing to a nun. And in episode 11. An Antagonist does very weird stuff with a toddler. Which I will not go into detail in, but anyway let's talk about the animation, tone, and sound of the show
Animation: It is made by Mappa so it is obviously going to have good animation. I don't think I need to say anymore
Tone: This is the most confusing aspect of the show. The show seems to be a comedy, but awkwardly switches to a dark show at the same time. This is basically FMAB where it has dark moments but adds comedy into it. Except this show does it much worse than FMAB.
In the end, even the characters of Blue Ruin know how pointless their feud is. But revenge, much like every taut minute of this thriller, is far too addictive to give up until the bitter end
Music: The opening of this show is probably the opening of the year. The OSTs are pretty nice and the ending is good, but not as good as the opening. The opening also probably has the best animation out of any show in this whole year. (So far)
Anyways. Idaten deities is a great anime 9 out of 10. But 1 scene in the show (episode 11) scene ruined the show for me. So I am going to give this show a 7. Anyways I hoped this review helped, you decide if you want to watch the anime. But anyways Ima skedaddle.Goodbye
