I think this is my first ever review that I have written, but I just couldn't ignore the urge to convey my emotions.
I have finished the movie just two minutes ago. I don't think I have cried for two hours straight before. To be honest, I did not expect much, just because the ending was already kind of spoiled and obvious to me. Turns out, I underestimated the power of telling stories, art, and sounds. Every detail combined made the movie extremely emotional in the best way possible.
The side story about a boy was absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking, the way of telling the story
...
was also remarkable.
To be honest, I did not really care about the future that was told with the memories of the young girl. It was okay I would say.
Finally, the ending was really logical, but somehow still filled with so much love and warmth, that I just broke down completely, just like them.
The story of Violet Evergarden will forever live in my heart and will always remind me to be open with my feelings towards my loved ones, as hard as it may be. I don't think I have enough power to watch this movie again, but I will be going back to the series from time to time in the future.
Violet Evergarden to me is a gift and a lesson. It will never leave its place in my top favorites and I will miss it dearly!
Thank you for everything.
