Little Witch Academia (TV)

Want some fun? These two works will guarantee it. Although Moomin is much more about the characters' daily lives and crazy adventures, Little Witch Academia has a bit of that too. Moomin isn't about witches, but there are witches too. Both have somewhat unique casts (Moomin more so. Little Witch Academia has some slightly more generic characters, but they're just a few).

Both have completely different messages, but there's one thing in common: they're not just any a cute Slice of Life. Character development and more realism shine through in both (Figure 17 less so because it involves a bit of science fiction, but when it comes to the characters, it's very realistic).

Basically the same thing: comedy with superheroes. Episode 11 of Doteraman also features a poster with Tanne and Yuka from Shouwa Ahozoushi Akanuke Ichiban. The main difference is that Shouwa Ahozoushi is much more exaggerated in its comedy.

Insane comedy, great characters, very funny and entertaining. As well as the similar subject matter, the comedy is also very exaggerated, and Ranpou ends up being even more exaggerated than Shouwa Ahozoushi. The biggest difference is that Shouwa Ahozoushi is episodic and Ranpou is two stories in one episode. Ranpou is also extremely good animation.

Senseless and exaggerated comedy. Chou Kuse ni Narisou is even more "Wtf" than Shouwa Ahozoushi, even though Shouwa Ahozoushi has a slightly more exaggerated comedy. But in the end, whenever I think of something similar to Chou Kuse ni Narisou, I remember the horse anime. Another thing is that both the protagonist of Chou Kuse ni Narisou and Yuka of Shouwa Ahozoushi, both fight. One of the only differences is that Chou Kuse ni Narisou is an anime that involves idols and Shouwa Ahozoushi "Super Heros" (it's not like Tanne is actually one, especially since the title of the anime is literally "The Most Sophisticated Idiot of the Era Shouwa".

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou

Calm, just calm with few conflicts, almost impossible to go wrong. While Shoujo Shuumatsu is the daily life of two little girls surviving in the World, Sketchbook is literally episodes where almost nothing happens and is extremely relaxing. Cute girls with a relaxing vibe. Two works to watch without worry because not much happens. Both also have good comedy. Maybe anime should be that, not trying to be too much and failing miserably, but rather having a few things happen and getting basically everything it does right.

Kemono no Souja Erin

Both anime have a lot of flashbacks (seriously, it's exaggerated) and Kaguya's part of the story is very similar to Erin's aesthetic of taking place in ancient times. This recommendation is also a bit ironic, but it makes sense.

Firstly, I wanted to make a more complete recommendation, but that would be a spoiler for Erin. Heidi and Erin (to some extent) are literally very similar, and I don't doubt that the author of Erin was inspired by Heidi for this, as it is a classic. Let's go: Everyday life is often relaxing with the child protagonists, in a certain part of the story both protagonists go to school, they take care of animals... I wanted to say more, which would complement a lot in how similar they both are, but that would be a spoiler from Erin.

Densetsu Kyojin Ideon

The two are similar in many ways, and it's by the same author. There's also the fact that they both end somewhat abruptly, even though Zeta Gundam ended more properly and Ideon ended his story only in the movie which is epic. Both series aren't afraid to kill characters, that's a positive point. Even though it wasn't bad, I found Zeta's ending to be a little weak compared to Ideon's sudden series ending.

Relaxing Slice of Life with great character relationships. As much as Figure 17 has a focus on the development of the protagonist and Moomin is an anime that focuses on just being fun, both deal a lot with the relationships that the characters have in their day-to-day lives.

Both do not basically explain anything in the world and are much more in the daily life of the characters and their relationships and every once in a while there is something more reflective like Haibane ep 5 and Shoujo Shuumatsu ep 9. I think Shoujo Shuuumatsu is better than Haibane.
