Both stories revolve around a helpless, innocent little girl as a protagonist, who then is aided through the challenges she faces by a mysterious boy. As you watch through the film, you will see the relationship develop slowly between the two characters. As said in the previous posts, yes they also have that same supernatural related genre, and they both will also have that bittersweet ending as well.

these two anime has a mix of the slice-of-life, supernatural and some sci-fi genre in it. You won't be surprised to find in both of them, a protagonist who's goal is to 'do what's right', along with save and protect the one's important to them. Both protagonists are males who you'll see first starts off as nothing but dirt, but eventually starts to develop the strength and courage to become the hero they try to be in the story.

...then you might like Danganronpa: Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei The Animation add

They both have the characters play a game - one where the characters must try and kill each other in order to survive. Although Mirai Nikki does take this theme to a more public level, both of them have most of the characters as just ordinary students who's life has completely changed ever since the 'game' has started. Some will die, and some will survive - or, maybe none at all. Watch the TV show to find out.

Their genre is completely the same. As a school faces terrible problems, the main character will rise to protect it and the people who are important to him. It also pulls in that supernatural powers that the protagonist will gain, but will also struggle to control it. Anybody who enjoys A slice of life and some Sci-fi mixed in it should definitely watch one of them - or rather both!

They both evolve around a young, normal ever day school girl who's life is turned completely around by the depths of magic/fantasy and must face against un-natural forces of evil in order to retain what is lost - In Cardcaptor Sakura, that is the Clow cards, and in Magical girl lyrical Nanoha that is the jewel seeds. Both of them faces challenges, obstacles and especially rivalry against other ones who are similar of their kind.
