Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou = "Daily Lives of High School Boys". Nichijou = "My Ordinary Life"; See the resemblances already? Both anime take place primarily in a high school setting with a colorful, dank cast of characters with dank humor. Skits are taken to a whole new level of extremes and even the most ordinary of situations become something extraordinary.

Teenage girl(s) is currently living with a single, curious, teenage boy: Lewdness ensues. For some reason, the girls in both anime are thirsty beyond comprehension for dick, and the guy, as pure-hearted as he might be, occasionaly gives into their seduction. If all you really want is raunchy humor with hardcore-ecchi on the side, either of these anime will work for you.

...then you might like Barakamon add

When you just want a good, clean story about a man having to live in harmony with a child that's not his. The two anime also compliment each other by masterfully intervolving normal, daily events into bonding exercises between the adults and the children. Just for your own sake, perhaps consider avoiding the Usagi Drop manga if you're interested in it ~

They both revolve around idols, but whereas Love Live is about school idols, iDOLM@STER deals with professional idols. The girls' career motives are slightly different, but the constant themes of friendship and self-improvement are constant throughout the run of both anime. Oh and there is also waifu bait but this is good haha.

A coming of age story involving troubled, socially awkward boys. Both are almost nihilistic in nature and vary greatly from your standard romance, slice-of-life manga. The depressing nature of each will not appeal to everyone, but will be an invigorating breath of fresh air for those looking for something different.

...then you might like Boogiepop wa Warawanai add

You'll be hard pressed to find other anime that are half as nihilistic as these. Both anime opt for a depressingly dull color palette to the point where they might as well be black and white. The plot in both is also taxing on the watcher if they don't pick up on the littlest details. Their characters are also people of few words. That's not to say either of these anime are bad, but they're definitely not for everyone.

Both anime present a more lighthearted noir theme with an emphasis on super-human powers.The plot starts out simple in both but becomes something more out of this world towards the end, all with a pleasant mix of comedy sprinkled in between with similar characters.

Cute girls doing cute things, huh? Well even though both anime are set in a post-apocalyptic setting and undoubtedly have some dark moments, it really is mostly just cute girls doing cute things. But these girls stand strong no matter what obstacles they may face, and friendship is everything of course.

Both are surprisingly dark anime that juxtapose the lives of normal teenage girls and putting them in brutal fights and situations no one should ever be a part of. The action is great and fluid in both and leave viewers with food for thought at the end.

Young girls are gifted, or rather tricked into acquiring supernatural powers which requires them to battle enemies to fulfill a greater purpose. Both anime start out innocently enough but soon diverge into something surprisingly dark with an atmosphere that also gets gradually darker along with its characters.

...then you might like Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei add

There's a handsome main character in each who is ridiculously overpowered in their respective worlds; Both of them have lots of females to choose from that they don't seem too interested in and seem to care loads more about their work. The girls themselves are, however, no push overs either and aren't just damsels in distress.

Slice of life, just high school girls going about their daily and often whimsical lives. Random humor on both ends, with each anime featuring a unique art style and an eccentric cast of characters.

Both feature main characters who are dead set on annihilating the monsters that roam their respective worlds. The anime also share the same animation studio and a pretty unique art style for both. Also, both main characters have something special about them that sets them apart from everyone else.

Madoka Magica and Kill la Kill are both shows that you have to look past have how they're advertised (Madoka for the the cute magical girls and Kill la Kill for the fanservice) and see them for the deep, underlying themes they have and engrossing plot. Both anime also have great action and animation, as well as some of the best soundtracks in anime to date.

Death games. Death games everywhere. In both anime, leading up to the conclusion of said death games, there's a mystery to be solved and gaps to be filled. Both anime also have nice art and a colorful cast of characters.

Witness two socially awkward characters failing at the most simple of tasks and then dealing with the fallout of it after. Really funny show filled with cringe humor which I personally enjoy. Both main characters also mean well and just want to fit in with everyone else.

Beautiful animation with a beautiful soundtrack. Both anime deal with a group of friends slowly starting to drift apart as feelings are revealed and conflict ensues. The theme of change is also constantly prevalent in both.

Both series start out knowing a character(s) have died and a good portion of each anime's story is about reflecting on the lives of said characters. Both anime are very feels heavy and contrast happiness with misery often.

Both anime share a spooky Halloween theme and have characters with supernatural powers. Artstyle is eye catching for both and have a nice balance of comedy and action.

Another more contemporary recommendation: Both anime take the concept of death lightly as characters keep dying but keep coming back to life, and more often than not die in brutal and bloody ways, especially in Bokusatsu. Both male main characters also have an "angel" usually at their side, that usually has a hand in their demise.

A teenage boy is drowning and drowning in women who has no problem humoring every single one of them. Both anime deal with magic and demons, while the main character himself is adjusting to his new found power and slowly mastering it with the help of his harem.

The main character is a girl with a sword that's responsible for mercilessly killing demons and monsters that threaten the human race. Both girls have inner demons of their own that get unleashed when battles get fierce enough. Overall, these are also some of the bloodiest anime out there and aren't for the faint of heart; though they're wonderful for gore lovers.

Both have a first episode showing off what will happen later in the series and how drastically different things are. There are two main characters who are best friends that want to support each other in their endeavors and make a name for themselves. Moe, moe, moe. Both anime are filled to the brim with moe and battle girls with surprisingly good animation and art. Girls slap on gear to make themselves full battle-ready and fight enemies that threaten the peace of their worlds. There is also a surprising lack of male characters, though more so in Kantai Collection.

Characters are outfitted with items that can turn into various weapons and are used against alien beings with clear motives besides kill as many people as possible. An organization gathers these people to help fight these enemies before they can wipe out the rest of humanity. Action is over the top for both anime.

The concept of transforming to get stronger and using the power of your friends to get even stronger is prevalent throughout both. The universes each anime is set in deal with RPG game elements, such as finding treasure, gaining new abilities, and fighting bosses. Both anime have a simple main characters who ends up being one of the most powerful characters towards the end. For both anime, the main characters also effortlessly build up their harem which is always fun to watch.

Very tailored for Western audiences with a spectacular dub. Both sport hip-hop tracks that are rarely seen in anime and feature traveling swordsmen that no one wants to mess with.

Both anime have heavy incest and ecchi undertones. The main character in each seems to grab the attention of any and all females he meets and then proceeds to get placed in usually explicit situations with each of them. Neither will anime will appease any girls who watch it.
