It's been a really long time since I've written a review but I haven't been able to stop thinking about this film since I saw it and so I'm going to jot my thoughts down here :)
Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions is the perfect sequel to an already perfect ending. If you're like me, you were probably worried that this film would undo the great and satisfying ending of Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Monsters, however I'm pleased to say quite the opposite is true. The film treats itself as an epilogue right from the start as we get to see our heroes 6 months after
...
the events of Duel Monsters. The characters we've grown to love have started to grow up and are thinking about their futures.
Yugi has still retained the lesson he learned but of course he misses Atem the pharaoh, his dear friend. Meanwhile Seto Kaiba has a score to settle and won't take the afterlife as no for an answer. By the way, Seto Kaiba is by far the best part of this film. He's badass, he's got the coolest gadgets, the best lines and the coolest monsters. But does Atem make an appearance in this film? Well, I'll leave that open ;)
The story isn't really anything original but it keeps the magic of the original series very much alive whilst also progressing a plotline that is both exciting characterwise and rich in lore for the egyptian whacky stuff.
The Yu-Gi-Oh franchise has never looked better. The animation is crisp, the CGI is well integrated and the sound design is perfect. Solid 10 in this category.
Honestly my only gripe is the duels themselves. Because the plot has so much content and we want to see a lot of duels, they have been dumbed down to season 1 levels of ridiculousness. They're very pretty to look at, but a lot of the time you will be thinking "That card is BS!" or "How the hell did you do that?!" If you're into the actual card game, this will most likely bug you to no end.
Overall this film satisfied my childhood on a level I didn't even know I've wanted. This movie didn't just satisfy the fan inside me. It made me as a person happy :)
So for that it gets a solid 9/10

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn is an excellent celebration of the Universal Century timeline of the Gundam franchise. This is both its greatest strength, but also its greatest weakness as it means you will have to go through nearly 200 episodes of dated Gundam animation to fully enjoy this lightning in a bottle ride.
This OVA series takes place 3 years after Char's Counterattack and ties up a few loose ends with mostly new faces. There are some old characters you will be happy to see again such as Noa Bright and Mineva Zabi but don't expect this to be "The OG Gundam crew returns" or anything
...
like that.
The story itself isn't necessarily all that original for a Gundam series, but it does execute its premise extremely well with an incredibly satisfying conclusion. The characters are also very likable with exception of a certain obnoxious ensign.
Overall Gundam Unicorn is an incredibly enjoyable series with a good story, relatable characters, amazing music and art and a great conclusion to the Universal Century of Gundam which is only bogged down by the requirement of previous Gundam knowledge.

Really disppointed with this movie. I really liked the first Little Witch Academia but so much of the charm was lost in this sequel. The protagonist Acco or whatever her name is gets really annoying really quickly in this movie. A lot of the sick animation sequences from the first one have been substituted for drama here. Whilst it does have an excellent action sequence at the end, by that point I didn't care anymore. The animation and sound is as fantastic as you would expect from Trigger but the characters let those perks down. A lot of side characters got introduced that were granted,
...
funny, quirky and interesting but we don't get to know them nearly well enough to care. I hope the TV series feels more like the original but I'll just have to wait and see.

Ah Shokugeki, probably my favorite ecchi series of all time. Mainly because the fanservice is done in a comedic way that actually adds to my enjoyment rather than detract. Unfortunately the sequel disappointed me quite a bit. The sound and art are still top notch but the characters and story fell apart for me in this season. Ni no Sara takes place right after season 1, meaning we get kicked right into the tournament arc. Sadly the tournament arc which is the biggest part of the series is so bland. There's none of the cutthroat tension from the previous season. There aren't any students getting
...
kicked out or even any cool preperation arcs. These things are what made Shokugeki entertaining for me in the first place. There's only so many times that the eye-opening, orgasmic "This food is excellent!" reaction can stay entertaining before it gets boring. It's also not nearly as funny as season 1. Thankfully the show REALLY picks up in the last 3 episodes. It's because of them that I chose to give this season a 7 instead of a 5 or a 6. The tension comes back, Soma's creativity comes into play and there's a lot of charatcer development to be had as well. It's ironic that the last 3 episodes which could be considered filler were the most entertaining. So should you watch Shokugeki Season 2? If you liked season 1 then yes but don't expect the same kind of quality the first season had. If you didn't like season 1 you will HATE this series. Hope this review helped a little :)

If you looked at the title and were hoping for a basketball team rising up in revelution against the evil student coucil like I did you will be disappointed. Jokes aside though that would have actually been a much better show. WTF did I just watch?! Is the only way I can describe this anime and trust me you will have the same reaction. The story is there are armed kids for some reason and there are bad guys with guns killing them. After every episode you will think WTF was that?! The "story" makes absolutely no sense and you will not be able to
...
follow it at all. There are 3 random bad guys at one point and honestly I don't even know if they fought the main characters or not. Each episode is 4 min long and there are 5 of them (the final episode is hard to find by the way) so you would think they would pump everything into a fun, fast paced little action series, instead you get 5 episodes with dialogue that doesn't make any sense, with characters that are boring and a little bit of action which is REPEATED throughout the show. The characters are not characters, they are cardboard cutouts with no personality. However I suggest you watch it since it will only take 20 mins of your time and you will laugh out loud at how utterly ridiculous it is. I can only imagine how much fun this show is when you're piss drunk.

Ahhhh One Punch Man. Some call it the Attack on Titan of 2015 and that it saved anime. I call it something fun to watch every week.
I'll talk about the positives first:
-The characters
This is in my opinion the show's biggest strength, each character has their own personality, opinions, motivations and quirks. This makes the show very enjoyable to watch as you see a huge variety of people that interact with each other.
-The comedy
This show has to be one of the funniest of 2015. There are so many laugh out loud moments in this show that it would be hard to count. As a result
...
the main goal of the series succeeds with flying colors. If you're well versed in the anime world, you'll notice jabs and references to other tropes, genres and stereotypes that are flat out hilarious however even if you aren't you should get a kick out of it nonetheless.
-The music
The soundtrack is absolutely fantastic in this show. It hits all the right tones at all the right moments. Also the opening is f*cking amazing.
Now the negatives:
-The story
Whilst the concept is quite unique and executed perfectly, the show feels very episodic and it's hard to argue that there's any real plot at all, especially in the first half.
Other than that I only have extremely minor issues and One Punch Man is definitely worth watching.
All in all I rate "One Punch Man" with an 8/10

Before I review this series I would like to make a couple of things clear. I gave this show a 10 so allow me to explain something.
1. 10/10 does not mean perfect, as it says on the site it says masterpiece. Masterpiece and perfect/flawless are not the sme thing. I do not believe in perfect shows or perfection in general.
2. All my ratings are based PURELY on enjoyment value. So even if I see something critically flawed if I'm enjoying the show enough I can simply overlook it.
Now, with that out the way let's talk about "Plastic Memories"
Plastic Memories is a truly beautiful show
...
(I'm not just talking about art and animation although it is stunning) jut because of how it's done. At first glance the story is a standard slice of life show with a small sci-fy twist. Whilst this is true and even the ending is predictable as hell. (I could see it coming since episode 2) It all comes down to execution which is done brilliantly here. Just because of the way they did the show it is a masterpiece. The characters are all likeable and most of them truly grow over time. The comedy is well done and most of the jokes were very funny, only they got a little repetitive over time. The ending (whilst predictable) is extremely satisfying and complete. I hae never cried as much as I did after watching this show. I was still upset the next morning. In fact for whatever reason the next morning I didn't watch any anim because a voice in the back of my head said: "If I watch something now then I'm being disrespectful to Plastic Memories!" It's a feeling I get very rarely ater watching a show and if that isn't a sign of a masterpiece I don't know what is!
Therefore "Plastic Memories" gets a 10/10 as well as a full recommendation from me.
