Both being AMVs with a creative design and being a little mindfuck surrounding the theme of ones feelings and love. :) They are both somewhat dark, both probably being more a like than first assumed :) But they are different music genres, still with a heavy focus on the AMV where the music more compliments the visuals than the other way around I think :)

Little Busters! Refrain
|
(duly note that both being the second seasons of their anime series, I choose those because they were most a like) Yes this seems like a BIG jump, but is it really? Both are hardships animes, all about friendship, no friendship then everything will fall into pieces. This is about trust, this is about development of friendship and it is about doing what ever to save one another, the sacrifice. Of course the big difference is that Higurashi has all its gore and horror elements and Little Busters being much more light hearted with the comedy (but still heavy with its feels). But without spoiling both then they have MAJOR similar plot elements which I will not go into. ^^ But trust me when I watched Little busters especially the second season I kept thinking about Higurashi. Also duly note that both animes really unfolds themselves in their second season. :) both having clues in the first season but the explanation comes second season :)

Well both series will indeed provide you with that feeling. Both being in totally completely different settings and artstyle but they still have really awesome fights and both being dark, but of course Afro Samurai being more darker because of no comedy(or only dark comedy) while Air Master still have some more lighthearted comedy.

Both being very philosophical movies which are heavily focused on themes of human/society evolution and how the individuality of a person fits or not fit in a evolving society. Many similarities in themes but taking very DIFFERENT approaches. Of course SEL is way more mindfucking than Harmony but they both have a unique feeling of the setting which really portrays the world/society.

4-day weekend is an AMV for a western song and ANother Misaki Mei is an fan AMV for the series. They are vastely different but I will still recommend them both because they both have good songs about love where they both take on a different angle. (And yes you can watch/listening to Another Misaki mei without having seen another because the song itself is the best part and what makes it good)

Both series heavily rely on ecchi and harem concepts. Of course the both series are vastly different in setting and one being quite better than the other but where one (HOTD) serves as an action and the other (Rescue me) is a comedy. Both have one male, somewhat gentleman, being surrounded by archetype girls who all wants him for what ever reason.

Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin
|
Rainbow is a far superior seinen(yes I know Ginga isn´t a seinen but shounen but compared to present time it is way too dark to be a shounen) anime when it comes to tackle really deep and serious issues of manhood, brolove and such, but it is also prettier, awesome soundtrack and better narrator. Ginga Nagereboshi is on the other hand far less deep but is still all about manhood and brolove, but just nearly as brutal as Rainbow in some ways. So if you want a seinen anime and don´t mind brutality both of these are for your taste ^^

the main similarities are: - Both thriller detective murder animes - the animes are focused heavily on the speciel/weird "love"relationship between the two main characters where they are working together. Subete ga F ni Naru

They are both mystery animes and are "classic" detective style thrillers but they are quite similar when it comes to the two main characters. In both mystery series the two main characters are in the main focus, their clever conversation, their interactions and how their relationship develops. Of course in Umineko they are against one another to solve the case where in Subete ga F ni Naru they are working together, but great chemistry between them, so good that sometimes the overall plot is forgotten when watching those two´s interaction with one another.
