I started reading this manga with some skepticism. 21 chapters based on a 2ch thread and it would be a wholesome manga? I'm glad i was proved wrong.
This is a great manga if youre tired of the usual shoujo romance, it honestly took a much different turn than most, for the better.
The main reason is the story. Chikan Otoko is about an almost shut in dude who went by Molester Man on his thread. He doesn't really have friends, works on a boring part time job and is barely attending his classes on his university. Above all that, he's a big otaku who plays

a lot of dating sims and keeps snakes as pets. His life gets turned upside down when he's mistaken for a stalker by Miss Understanding, which leads to him knowing her and her group of friends.
From there it felt kinda predictable, i was fully expecting them two to date, fall in love and end. I was gladly surprised by the nuance this manga has. It actually spends some time showing how Molester Man actually evolves from his recluse self to a more interesting and outgoing person, WITHOUT having to let go of his previous interests. Beyond that, the love story that develops is quite surprising and feels really genuine and natural. Mainly because unlike most romance manga, Molester Man is actually pro-active and often talks it out, making all the relationships feel that much more dynamic and, when it comes to it's conclusion, it feels deserved, not as if it all happened by a string of coincidences.
The only shortcoming is the art. It isn't bad at all, but it's below your usual manga that gets published.
I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cute heartwarming manga where people actually act on they're feelings.
