This show dives into the territory of being so bad, that it wraps around to almost being good. It is a amalgamation of all the bad isekai tropes wrapped in to one series, and if it only didn't take itself so seriously it could have been a great show. Its the kind of story where the second they say "adventurers guild" you know theres going to be some sort of device to measure the MC and its going to blow up.
If I would have been able to see this in junior high, it may have been the greatest thing ever. You have the self-insert doormat ... MC, but he also looks like an edgelord when hes wearing his armor. What weapon does he use? All of them! What magic does he use? All of them! so no matter what your favorite is you'll get your power fantasy fulfilled.
The harem does a good job at covering all its bases, and the MC is so dense it doesn't feel like theres just one love interest and a bunch of third wheels, although most of the classmate girls fall into that category. I think the author does deserve some actual praise for that part, setting up 2 FMC's right away and having them not meet means its not such an obvious choice on which direction it will go.
Its not so bad that I dropped it, but it had its moments where all I could think was "This show sucks".

I Parry Common Sense. The premise of this show sounded interesting before I watched it. A non-isekai fantasy of a character that makes the best use out of a combination of low level skills, developing them into something useful. What I got was a run of the mill OP out the gate protagonist that is so dumb, he actually decreases the intelligence of everyone around him.
There was a little bit of potential for interesting world building, I liked their take on one of the monsters, and the other empire, but it came along too late and didn't go into enough detail. Maybe there is ... some redemption in the LN, but nothing here.
The power scaling is so off the charts that I don't know how they could develop it further. The first 2 or 3 enemies are understandable and within the realm an overly developed 'low level' skill but after that it just goes off the rails. If they kept the same pace of increasing the MC's power then by the end of a season 2 i would expect to see the episode 'I Parry God'.
I think the best thing they could have done to save this series would have been to make it into a parody or comedy show, but as it is right now it takes itself too serious for what it is.
If you still want to watch the show, you should know by episode 3 if you can make it through it. If you're on the fence about finishing it after that then just watch 5, 11 & 12. you're honestly not missing much by skipping the other episodes.

I started watching this blast from the past because clips made it look pretty interesting. Having almost finished the first season it feels like those select moments are all the show has to offer.
The initial premise of the show is actually pretty good and I think it had room to go somewhere but it just kind of flopped. There's no progress in the main romance and the rest of the show is just focused on gigs and the side characters. There are some legitimately funny moments, but nothing came close to giving me the feels.
I probably would have finished this season if I felt ... like things were going to wrap up or at least go somewhere. But then I saw there's a season two plus a season 3/ova, and the wacky hijinks of the support cast just wasn't doing it for me

This show was a standout among "trash" isekai. Its not a great show, but it was better than what I had expected. It should be apparent from the cute and catchy brainrot OP but this is probably best viewed as a fantasy romcom. Beyond the first couple episodes there is very little for an overall long term plot and any major events are just a medium for introducing new characters. Hijinks happen, they are resolved almost immediately from the titled 'Cheat powers', and a sometimes a new member joins the crew. The character development and story they do show in the anime makes it a ... good standalone experience, and while there are unresolved points to get you to read the LN the show covers enough of them to feel like a proper ending if you only watch the anime.
