Now, this is what we call a slice of life manga. There is absolutely no plot other than that revolving around Yugami Yuuji. Now hear me out, it's not like everyone will like this, even I expected Watanuki and Yugami would start dating at the end of the story or something, but it was a pleasant surprise. Just to be clear, this manga is people who are absolutely fed up with repeating action sequence of the majority of mangas available in the market.
Plot
Now I am warning y'all, if you want a concrete story or something, just stop right there, if there's one thing this manga
...
lacks, that's a concrete plot. This manga is just for people looking for some light humour and feel good vibes. This plot can never work out for an anime 'cause it's too simple to gain any audience.
Characters
Just like any typical shounen, there's this almighty generic cast of people listening to shitty protagonist just for the sake of gaining his favour or the time where the female protagonist being the only one understanding the true intent behind all the actions and stuff. So I would say that it is pretty generic and nothing to pay attention over.
Art
Art in Shounen is pretty mediocre and when it comes to Slice of Life, there's nothing to make us fret over. I honestly didn't find anything noteworthy or unique in this work of Sakura Jun. So again art is also mediocre

Man I really had high hopes for this movie. The collaboration for this movie screamed that it is would be awesome. But this movie seriously just trashed all my expectation spectacularly. I know I haven't watched a lot of movies, but this one seriously sucked.
The art and animation was awesome, which is to be expected from any modern anime. I loved the use of cgi and the smooth animation of Hibiki and Uta's parkour moves and they also changed the camera angles for the shot making it seem like it was actually shot by a person, for that kudos to the animators.
But that's
...
where all the good points of this movie end. The plot of this movie makes it seem worse than the Pixar plots, which are actually made for kids but still can be enjoyed by people of all ages. But this is one straight out bored me. I literally had to fast forward many scenes just so that I could get over with the movie.
The concept of the story was good, but again it is dangerously similar to Weathering with You. Can we stop drowning Tokyo literally for the sake of love in every movie now!!!
Again I failed to witness the part where the romance was involved except in the very end of the movie where Uta gave a flashback of her memories to Hibike.
Characters other than Uta and Hibike noticeable in the movie was only Makoto, and we all know why that is😏. The makers literally didn't pay attention to other characters at all. What's more shocking is there was an antagonist in the movie. Did we seriously need some evil group fighting in a parkour competition using some high tech gear from the outside world?!?! I mean seriously?!
That's it for this review, or I would like to call it a rant on how bad the movie was

At the time of writing this review, I have completed 32 chapters and 4 volumes of this manga. I must say that this manga is an extreme cliche shounen manga. The plot is average at most and those who have read Tokyo Revengers or watched the anime will find that the fights in this manga are better portrayed in this manga than Tokyo Revengers. I can also say that if Tokyo Revengers shows some sadism, this manga is completely opposite as of now and is completely trying to cancel the sadism from people. The positivity is good, but for people who are seinen fans, it
...
will become too boring and will drop this manga after sometime.
Though I must say that one point to be noticed is that the art style of this manga is really good as it is with many mangas released in the recent years. I really loved how the mangaka kept the art clean. Presently only the art style is only keeping me from dropping this manga.

I did give a review for the first season of this anime, and I would say again, this anime is just the best...
[SPOILER ALERT]
If anyone observes my anime list, they'll notice that the anime I watch are mostly happy going shounen. I rarely watch these depressing animes where there's only some ray of hope and absolute sad parts.
I can say confidently that the anime started with a really sad plot showing the discrimination similar to the one practiced in the Nazi Germany and even ended the season showing the fall of the Republic similar to the fall of the Nazis. What I loved the most
...
was Milize reuniting with the squadron in the end and it being captured by Shin's pet robot.
Just like the previous season, this season was also packed with banger music in all the right places and kudos to the music creators for creating the music which really enhanced the viewing experience of the anime and keeping the audience absolutely hooked to the fight unlike many other mainstream shounen fighting animes.
Again kudos to the animation team for the outstanding animation work. I am relatively new to the Mecha genre and 86 made it absolutely lovable for me and I think that a huge part of the credit goes to the animators. It is due to them that I am waiting for the next season, otherwise I would have already started reading the light novel.
Hence I would like to conclude my review.

Ok, I am writing this review way long after this anime was released, but that's alright. This was my first mecha anime and I must say that I enjoyed this one thoroughly. Let me get this straight, I have never paid attention to mecha genre as a whole because I pretty much compared it to the transformers series, which while most of us might have enjoyed, I didn't enjoy as much. So it was a completely unexpected viewing experience for me.
I am writing this review after watching both the seasons (season 2 ongoing) in one go, so few of the scenes from season 2 might
...
clash in this review, though I will try to not mix them both....
What I liked the most about this season was that the music track selection, both the openings and the ending tracks were just awesome. There are a lot of animes which do so, but rarely do they manage to do so in the fight scenes as well, but this one managed to do it in all the right places. This just makes the whole anime a new viewing experience.
Going over the character design, I will say that most prioritized characters being only Shin and Milize is just not enough, though the other characters didn't get a lot of screen time, I did expect at least the remaining members of the squad to get some character development, but then I am disappointed.
If we look at the story, I am an Indian and the whole world knows how much drama the Indian movies portray, and Shin seeking revenge over his brother's death on a literal robot is mediocre at best, also the author revealing the discrimination present in the Republic in the beginning of the story is like already spoiling the sequence of the plot to me. Though I did assume the premise of the story to head towards the Spearheads uniting all the squads on the front lines and fighting the Albs, but they didn't, so I am kinda glad.
Overall I would say that I did enjoy the fight scenes with Shin showing his extraordinary prowess in controlling a "Juggernaut" and the awesome yet subtle use of cgi to portray the fight scenes did further increase the enjoyment of the viewer by a certain degree.
With this I would like to conclude my review by giving an overall of 8/10 score.

[SPOILER WARNING]
I want to make it clear from start, just a few day's back I learned that this series is being written by the creator of Kaguya Sama (which I do follow every week) and drawn by the mangaka of Scum's Wish.
Even though the story of this title has progressing good, I don't feel that the plot has been smooth for the entire journey, this feels at most like the creator is divulging from the main plot numerous times to give us a glimpse of the entertainment industry, which is good but then I want the actions towards the revenge plot shown as well and
...
not just the trauma of Aqua over Ai's death..
If we ignore this part, then the art is really good, but again the eyes are totally unconvincing for Ai, Aqua and Ruby. I mean come on, there are numerous ways to show that these guys are the main guys and not by drawing literal stars in their eyes, I just hope that the stars disappear from their eyes after they grow up. Other than that, the characters look really good.
Overall I'll say that this plot can be improved but until then I'll give a 7/10

At the time of writing this review, the last chapter of this manga was released 1 year 80 days ago... so yea, I don't think this manga might be getting a chapter soon. But based on the limited chapters, I can tell this manga was definitely good and I would recommend it to my fellow anime enthusiasts.
The plot is completely simple, just showing the goofy side of a few really cool looking dudes with no drama and no nonsense plot.
Due to very limited resources and chapters, I can only review this much and I will still rate it an overall 8/10

[SPOILER WARNING]
I am writing this review at chapter 143.
I found this manga to be very interesting. If Haikyuu!! was one tip of edge in sports category, this manga takes complete opposite direction by not portraying excessive positive emotions and showing the more realistic and negative aspects of human nature by portraying egoism, this is a completely new concept for me in the sports genre, this made the characters of the manga even more competitive. This manga has just not wasted any time on the training arcs of the characters and just showed their development through real time training matches which are as exciting as the
...
main match against U-20 Japan team.
Now when I speak of art style, this manga has quite good art style with all details captured in it, as compared to Haikyuu!! manga. I just love the fact that the faces of the characters have not changed by slightest over the span of 143 chapters I have read.
Speaking of characters, the mangaka has done a good thing by not showing lengthy past stories or made them emotional, in fact, by showing a more realistic story the manga is even more likable.

[SPOILER WARNING]
Writing this review is a mixed feeling for me. First impressions on this anime was outstanding, kudos to WIT Studio for that, it was an excellent work and I hope this will continue in season 2 as well, and yes I am going to watch it.
When we look at the story, who doesn't love Viking stories of pillage and Middle Ages? I haven't checked for the accuracy but the plot was good, except for the protagonist, man I seriously loved how they shifted the focus from Thorfinn to Askeladd (I will use this name only as the other one is too long). I was
...
waiting for the cliched shounen moment for Thorfinn to finally defeat him in the duel. But the twist was great, Askeladd's past was awesome, I mean he is a descendant of the Romans of Brittania, how cool is that?
But they could have paid more attention to other characters as well.
As for the enjoyment, this anime is seriously mean for the people who can actually manage to watch all the blood and gore shed in this anime. They have made it too graphical. Which is really commendable, again kudos to WIT.

Tbh, the first look at this movie gave me Great Pretender anime's vibes....
[SPOILER WARNING]
Story
This movie could have had a better plot. By going for the simplicity, the plot became too simple. It felt like watching a real long episode of an anime series. The main plot of the romance was like a filler song. They could have shown us the confession of Cherry to Smile when they were searching for the record or something on those parts. The MC confessing his/her love at the end is a pretty much cliched in anime...
Character
When I first read the description of the movie, I thought that Cherry might
...
be Yuu Ishigami (Kaguya Sama ref.) type character. Fortunately that didn't happen so I am glad. But the earphone being wore to avoid people was more cringey than cool (which was otherwise thought by Smile).
Moving on to Smile, the braces and covering it was really good. It was a cute addition to the story and was perfectly done.
Genre
Giving Music genre to the movie was quite underwhelming the GENRE. Judging by the fact that the movie only had the ending theme and not a single song to make it feel like a movie belonging to the genre itself, at most this is a slice of life, romance genre.
Enjoyment
As for me, I enjoyed Josee and Garden of Words more than this due to their simple yet deep plots. As I said earlier, the plot was too shallow to enjoy it as a whole.
Overall I can say that it is a good movie.
