The protagonist is very annoying. Yes, he was raised in an abusive orphanage. I think we all got it after the third flashback to him getting yelled at. You do not need to show us the same clip twice an episode.
That said, the other characters are very nicely designed, unique, and entertaining. Especially Dazai, the crafty deuteragonist, and Chuuya, a Tsundere Mafioso with anger management issues. They actually reminded me vaguely of Izaya and Shizuo (from Durarara!!)--if Izaya and Shizuo stopped trying to kill each other once in a while to exchange semi-friendly banter, that is.

The protagonist is actually loveable and doesn't just sit there and take it. She's a hilarious deadpan snarker who thinks the princes are crazy and shows it.
The boys actually act in character for once! The narcissist stays narcissistic, the flirty one flirts with every other girl as well, the shota is shota, and the otaku does actually like anime girls better than the protag.
