Love Live! School Idol Project is a pleasing experience. It's a cheerful and fun series that you will likely enjoy, but it isn't without its flaws.

The plot is easy to follow and won't leave viewers with many questions, but it has enough changes in plot to keep the story engaging. Love Live is about a group of lovable girls trying to prevent their school from closing down, and it does a good job at making viewers feel strongly for the characters, wanting them to meet their goals.

The art is visually pleasing, albeit slightly generic. The animation looks smooth most of the time, other than the ... CG elements. In certain dance scenes, there are a few moments where it cuts to computer generated shots instead of traditional animation. This is the part that could ruin some people's enjoyment. The cg scenes don't look too bad, but some may become bothered by the switching of the two animation styles.

The characters are interesting to watch and are well performed by their voice actresses, who are talented at voice acting and singing.

Featuring characters you'll love, but cg moments that may turn some off it is definitely worth at least checking out.

Often I'll find a series and dislike it, but this series goes beyond that. I disliked this series so much it actually annoyed me. Short anime are often not very good, and this is the most extreme example.

It's a crazy, brainded show consisting of three unfunny jokes repeated over and over. They constantly reference famous video games and movies to try and get laughs from viewers, with the lazy punchline just being "look its that thing you know". I understand that sense of humour changes from person to person, but I can't see anyone enjoying any of the jokes. The way they're presented is ... just lazy.

I cannot think of anything positive to say about this series other than "at least it ended".
