I'm writing this review in response to the negative reviews I have seen here and on other sites. This anime series is long (74 episodes) and I will admit that is does drag at times -- but it remains one of my favorite animes. The story is original with twists and turns that keep you interested until the end. The writing/art/and music are all great. It's not just some average silly sci-fi story -- it has real depth.

If you tried to watch this on the SY-FY channel and "just couldn't get into it", please find it in its entirety (DVD or streaming online) and ... watch blocks of episodes at a time. You can't get the full effect of this show by just watching little bits here and there.

All I'm asking is that you give this show a chance. Maybe it's for you - maybe it isn't. I know 74 episodes sounds daunting, but if you enjoy the show as much as I did, you'll be left wanting more when it's over.

OK, all I have to say is that I feel like I have been robbed of my time...8 episodes of the same story?! Really?! That's just too far.
