And that's it, this is the reward, the reason why you had to hold on part 1 and 2..
This part is the best, but not only on it's own, mostly because you watched all of the previous parts, and that's why you know, you KNOW that anyone can die at any moment.

Did you love to follow the squad since Battle Tendency? Watch out, this is where you may scream "Nooooo God get out of here you'll die, someone HELP HIM" .... some times...

The songs near the end are epic, epic enough to make you panic when you'll hear some of them at X moments.
The characters? ... At this point, you love them all, that's the problem.
The mini-boss are a lot stronger than previous one, which is normal, so more epicness in fights.
Oh, and there is Dio. Fair enough.

I cant put more than 6 because it mixes Phantom Blood with Battle Tendency, and we all know how 'bad' is Phantom Blood part.
The animation is old, the story is basic, fights arent epic yet but the end of the first chapter is pretty interesting.
And it's the origin of the story so you have to watch it anyway, and it's only 9 episodes, then you can start have good times with Battle Tendency ;)

So basicly i would put almost everything 5- expect Characters for the first part, and everything 7+ for the 2nd part, that's why i put an average of 6.

All i have to ... say is, hold on, and you''ll be very happy watching part 3 "Stardust Crusaders"...

The reason why there are people bashing this anime and others loving it, depend of how much do you know about myths.

The first season of this chapter has a Really good story for me, the Red vs Black 7v7 changes a lot compared to the others Fate. It's the 2nd part that people doesnt like, and i personally didnt care about the end of the main story.

So why did i put that score? Because of the Heroes (servants) of this 'chapter'.
They are just better (and yeah, i did watch all the others Fate) if you are good in myths. They are very strong, surprising, and ... they respect a lot their legends and that's WHY some people didnt understand some actions (#episode 4, that was completly normal when you know Siegfried's legend).
And btw the fights are very well animated, and epic for the most part.

So yeah, the "main story" will probably lost you around episode 18+ But, the songs, fights/animations, servants are cool enough to ignore the story part imo.
