The Daily Lives of High School Girls. SoreMachi has much more slice of life, while Chio's School Road goes full in on comedy, but ultimately both series have an absurdist comedy take on the daily lives of their characters. They will leave you baffled as often as they leave you smiling (if not at the same time). Additionally, both casts are well-defined and fun, will grow on you as gradually get to know them.

Though the manga definitely have some similarities (clever writing, interesting plot), what I’m really recommending is the main characters. Kotoko and Maomao both have very unique views on the world around them. They approach the mysteries that are posed to them in ways no one else would, always surprising the reader and those in-universe. And ultimately, those approaches are unique largely due to their strong personalities and variety of quirks (poison addict, spirit god, etc.). They’re both very fun to watch because of this, not only as detective-types but also because they push the plot and surroundings to fit what they want. It also frequently makes for good humor when they do something startlingly out of the ordinary.

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou

In a vast yet sparsely populated world, a feeling of melancholia persists. Kabu no Isaki journeys further in its adventures, but still feels as intimate as the individual days in Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou. The natural world of one and the quiet looming city of the other have the same air of mystery within which the protagonists cheerily travel. In short, the vibes are very similar.

They have fantastic art, and quite interesting worldbuilding. The characters are distinct and lots of fun. They are, well, both cooking manga. They're both very well thought out and well made series that mix together all of the above stated elements excellently, and transition between serious moments and fun easily and smoothly as well.
