Both features Music and Romance with at least one bishounen in the series. Aimed towards females, even if the characters and settings are not similar, if you like Music and Romance, you'll like this series. Both also have cute little blonde fairies..accept in this Anime, the fairy is one of the main - this Anime has a bit of fiction in it. It also features Violin Music, as with Chiaki.

Both are Shounen Card Game Anime with a ton of characters, and a mixture of good and suddenly-popping-up bad art, with crazy hair too! Not to mention, both are for kids. Cardfight!! Vanguard however pays more attention to the story, with characters affected a lot by their pasts and whatnot, more emotion, more..girliness. Cardfight!! Vanguard also has a lot more of an Anime feel to it to the extent of a slightly "moe" main character, a "Kuudere", "Dandere" and later arriving "Tsundere" character included, better art too. All in all, Cardfight!! Vanguard is recommended for anyone who likes Anime like Duel Masters, especially if you're looking for a slightly more mature take on the Card game Anime.

Cardfight!! Vanguard is obviously another Card game Anime. Shounen series, many episodes, whole bunch of characters, for a young audience, full of fights, Bonds between friends and their cards/monsters, the English dub sucks, with a cute cast of females, too! And as shounen it may be, it's fit for both females and males to watch. The Protagonists however have many differences, but CF!!V does have Kai Toshiki who's similar to Shun in a few ways and give off a slightly similar vibe, what one would call a "Kuudere". If you like this, you'll like the other, just like Bakugan, CF!!V also has a real life version of the card game which kids can buy and play, and in both Anime, the whole "players are in a different dimension while using their cards" thing is included, definitely worth a watch if you like Bakugan, an Anime portraying a fictional version of a real life Kid's game.
