I only watched this show because it was a donghua rated in the top 50 on MAL, and boy am I glad that I did. It takes a pretty stale anime concept of time travel, but the way that it's done is one that I had never seen before.

This show subverts the expectation of the viewer, and leaves them wanting more at the end of every episode. Throughout the entire show, I never knew what was going to happen next.

The OP and ED both belong to a list of anime OPs and EDs that I listen to fully with each viewing, and the music ... in the background of the beautiful art style does a very good job of setting the suspenseful mood.

One criticism that I have of the show is that it really doesn't delve into the character, backstory, or motivations of the Lu Guang character.

I'm looking forward to the next season!
