Frieren is like coming home after being away for a very long time.
This is the best way how I could describe it. Everything feels so real and relatable, the attention to detail is meticulous. The little animations that wouldnt have been necessary, but make it feel more alive. The little conversational bits that are not something epic, but you can feel that a lot of thought went into them.
For some reason I feel like I am watching what my live could be if I tried hard enough. It gives me a lot of hope, and makes me feel a lot of feelings.
This is probably the

This has to be the greatest stroke of genius that ever saw the light of day.
The comedy and the meshing together of genres is made masterfully. I have never seen such perfection. This show subverses any expectations you could ever have. Nobody can predict anything in this show. The dialogue is absolutely off the charts. The innuendos are many and great. The outro merges the perfection of the male body with the elegance of true culture. Who ever conceived this idea needs to be protected and cherished. Whichever board of directors agreed to the script shall be deemed incredibly based. ... Jul 25, 2023
The Movie tells the period of the first 2 episodes of the anime, but from Asunas point of view.
Well it is SAO. What do you expect. It is a bit generic, but also it's a source for a lot of pop culture, references and we all probably watched SAO as one of our first 10 animes or something around that. The Animation is 100 times better than the original, but the constantly crying, bitching and drama that all could be resolved with a single sentence is a bit too obnoxious for my taste. That said I know it will get a bit better in the future, ... May 17, 2022

Let me start this review with saying:
I lost braincells watching this. This is just full of forced plottwists that make no sense, incredibly stupid characters with "intricate mindgames" that reallly only could fool elementary school children, while forcing pseudo psychology down your throat. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this anime but the opening theme, which, in all fairness, is an absolute banger. But this review isnt about the music, it's about the bad character writing, horrible story writing, nonsensical plottwists and abominal mind games. If you really have to watch this, grab a friend, some substance that makes you laugh about stupid stuff instead of being annoyed, and ... Apr 28, 2021
Deep Blue Town e Oide yo

This Anime / Music Video is a short for the iMarine Project, a Co-Brand digital Idol "iMarine-chan" of the character Marine-chan from the show Umimonogatari (https://myanimelist.net/anime/6129/Umi_Monogatari__Anata_ga_Ite_Kureta_Koto).
Since this is about an Idol, the focus lies on the music aspect, of course. This 9 minute Anime is the longest "video" in a row of music videos from iMarine-chan and tells a bit of a story about the characters and the world, while containing the ~3 Minute Music Video "Deep Blue Town". I liked it a lot because the characters are very cute, and despite not speaking a single word japanese I understood the rough concept and scope ... Mar 29, 2021

Well this is, of course, just a music Video, so I will be reviewing it as such.
There obviously is not any story or characterdevelopment included, at least not when regarding it from a Anime Point of view. I am not saying Musicvideos without any Characterbuilding do not exist ^^ However, the song is really catchy, and the Artwork is beautiful and the animation is fun to watch at. So for a music video it is really well done, which is why I have given it such a high score. There is not really much to say. Just thought I would give you the headsup! Jan 11, 2021
For entirely personal reasons, this is one of my favorite animes ever
Hence the biased rating. That said: For normal reasons this was still one of the best animes I have seen. The story and realationships are beautiful, the characters are relatable, and the dynamics between them are fun, exciting, inspiring, and sometimes they'll just give you a warm feeling in your heart. ... |
