I now know how people who didn't like Poor Things felt about it.

There are some good ideas in this story, but the execution wasn't there. Sexism, prostitution and how isekai stories treat women are all interesting things so I was expecting so much from it, but most of the time it failed to deliver. The comedy didn't work for me and so many characters felt underdeveloped, they could've done so much more with them and it is a shame we never got to see that. Still I would recommend it to people who like to take stories apart and think about what worked and what ... didn't.

It is a fun and entertaining story, it knows its themes and does a good job handling them. I think they did a good job developing the characters the story wanted you to know and each of them interacts with the themes of the story. Although others didn't get as much time and ended up being tools to move the story forward. Still, I think you will enjoy so give it a try if you have time.

The story touches on the topic of regret and desires, it does a great jobs showing both things and how they often go together. I understand why it doesn't ... make sense for some people, but I don't think that is a bad thing. The nonsense in it makes you see it in a different way and as a representation of something, rather than a literal story about princesses fighting each other.

The story does something I really enjoy, which is touching an overused topic and changing enough to make it feel new. Princesses of fairy tails are not new and this isn't the first story to use these characters. However, it finds a way to make them feel unique by changing their story or the way they themselves view their own story. Same with the topic of idols and the desire to be the best, it isn't new but the story manages to make it feel different to other stories that also touch on this topic.
