This is the first time I write a review here. The reason I write this review is mainly because this manhwa has not received the recognition it deserves and I felt that people need to know how good and different this story is as compared to all the other level up type manhwa that people are consuming.
Story: 10/10
This story is very unique in a manner I have not seen before. The Protagonist, a literal skeleton, dies failing to defend the dungeon it was stationed in - as the name would suggest, and is reborn from where it started its journey. So far, you have seen
...
this story a million times, however, what makes this story unique is that it uses the Characters death not for increasing its strength due to past memories but to lead us down very different adventures. The Protagonist dies multiple times in the story (this is not a spoiler) and comes back with his memories and powers intact (like re:zero). The protagonist through these adventure gains strength in a manner that feels both challenging and earned allowing us to feel satisfaction when he overcomes problems. However, the Protagonist is not set to one path/story where he must continuously retraces his previous steps and redo everything until he makes all the "right choices." Instead, his death serves as a way to explore the world and so many different adventure that you actually feel interested/invested in and are the driving factor of the story. The world building is so good and complex that it truly feels like this world exists outside the protagonist and isn't just revolving around our main character.
The best part about these adventures is that every single life/adventure has almost nothing to do with the previous one in any direct manner. It is almost as if we are only here for seeing this world. In fact, so far as I understand, there isn't even one total evil guy trying to destroy the world for whatever reason. It's just different actors doing things for their own goals which creates conflict between all of them. There isn't really a righteous or evil party for the sake of simplicity making the story complex. However, this doesn't mean there is no fixed goal. The true aspect/challenge he must face is not a physical one where he must be the strongest to defeat the strongest enemy. But he, just like the redear reading/learning through his adventure, must both become knowledgeable enough to understand what is actually happening in the world and its politics and intelligent enough to predict how their actions will affect the world. The true challenge is of intelligence and is the most enjoyable aspect about this Story as our protagonist struggle along with us to understand what is actually going on. Mystery is the true nature of this story.
But don't worry there is a payoff to all the seemingly unrelated adventures or skeleton goes through and it truly all comes together well. Be patient!
Art: 7/10
It is not spectacular by any means but you cannot complain either. It is just ordinary in that regard. The later chapters do look better than the initial chapters but it still isn't anything to boast about. It is just a means to facilitate this story.
Characters: 8/10
Well they are all alright. They each have their own motivations and goals. They all hide their true intentions until their goal is achievable and as such you tend to skeptical of everyone. Expect betrayals and don't get too attached to anyone. It is interesting in how it plays out and builds on itself over time.
Enjoyment: 10/10
It was really fun and engaging to read this.
I wish for a lot more people to find out about this and promote/encourage stuff like this instead of your usual 'Solo Leveling' power up typical of Manhwas now. As I said this is my first review here. I have never written one before mainly because I didn't feel the Art Work in question needed my "expert" appraisal. Please forgive me if If this does not meet your standard for a review.
