*EDIT* Okay, after episode 6 I can start to get why it's fluffy and cute. To be frank, episode 6 was pretty wholesome but my opinion on it hasn't changed yet. I think Horimiya is too over hyped .It's only been 5 episodes as of now, and it could get better but so far, nothing interesting has happened. I've tried to read the manga countless of times because people say it's good but honestly, as much as I'd want to like it, I just can't somehow... OKAY don't get me wrong. Horimiya isn't bad, but it's not good either. It's in between, an eh type ... of anime. The plot is basically like 90 percent of school romcoms and it doesn't add anything new or refreshing to the romance genre. It's just like any other with a simple premise and mediocre cast. Sure, I'll give props to the amazing art and decent character designs, but the characters themselves aren't really that memorable or amazing. The wholesomeness they say isn't really wholesome, well at least to me. It's kind of like yeah, this scene is pretty cute and all but it doesn't really make me excited. Whilst I was watching the show, most of the time, I would either be distracted by something else or stare at the screen feeling nothing...

Art- 7
It's good and probably one of the only things saving this show. Although backgrounds aren't as impressive, its okay.

Story-4
It's decent, its has a simple premise like any other high school romance. It isn't AS good and not really refreshing either.

Sound-4
Not my type of music, its alright and listenable but not really memorable.

Character-4
Mediocre and boring. We got the tsundere, boring gloomy guy, the obvious loser who has a crush on the main girl, mean girl, nerdy girl, etc.

Enjoyment-4
I felt nothing, I didn't enjoy it as much and sometimes I'd feel like a scene was pretty cute but most of the time I felt hollow.

Overall-5
It's mediocre, like any other romcoms out there. Nothing new or special, way overhyped but I can't say much since it has a huge manga fanbase and the 13th most popular manga on mal which I still have no idea on why.

Honestly, don't take this review too seriously, I'll respect you if you like this show and I won't try to ruin your enjoyment. Hey, if you like it then I'll leave you alone.
