This anime touches on heavy topics such as child neglect, abuse, and family estrangement while maintaining a veil of innocence. It gave increased purpose to the moments and scenes you would typically see in some slice of life anime. The four year old Kotaro moves in and the neighbors struggle to figure out why some kid is out here living alone without parents. As the characters grow and develop relationships with each other, we find out more about Kotaro's past, and how he draws on lessons and motivations of the past to move forward.
Enjoyment: I thought it was good overall.
