I am not usually one to take time out of my day to comment on how bad something is but the average rating of this particular manhwa makes it hard not to comment on the apparent flaws.
I read a good chunk of this book to say that I am quite acquainted with the story and to quickly summarize my points-to-be I can only say that the art is held back by some disappointing writing.
The formula of a female character getting isekaid into the villainess role of a work of fiction is not new by any means, with many works of this trope being successful and
...
enjoyable to read it is natural to assume that messing something like this up is not the easiest thing in the world. And yes I wrote that to only say that the story in this manhwa was bad or subpar, to say the least.
Let's start from the positives, shall we?
Without a doubt, the most impressive part of this manhwa is the art. The absolutely gorgeously drawn panels are the only things that give this work any kind of value in reading. Everything from the characters to the various settings is presented with the highest level of detail. If I were to give the art a rating it would undoubtedly be 11/10, the drawings are an absolute treat to the eyes and even calling them gorgeous would not do them justice. But that is, alas, where the good things end.
The story is mostly the same as that of other manhwas/mangas of this trope, except for some shuffling around in the roles of characters. The plot seemed interesting to me at the start, as it would to anybody who knows nothing of the story, but as I kept progressing it began getting mildly frustrating very quickly. From what I read the manhwa felt as though it tried to focus way too much on the drama aspect of the story rather than the romance, this is not how these novels succeed but it would also not be a big problem if the story and plot itself were presented and written well, but neither the writing nor the presentation is handled well. Constant contradictions of character traits, too many "coincidental" moments to progress the plot, lack of regard for logic and explanation of story elements, apparent forcing of the progression of the plot, and no time to get attached to any characters, I will elaborate further on some points, but I could seriously go on with the negatives.
I wrote "no time to get attached to any characters" for my lacking a better collection of words to describe the fact that only the plot gets pushed in this story, there is no chapter of respite, where you can see some characters interact, get to know them better, grow a bit attached, there's none; and once a major point in the story has come to an end a coincidental moment is sure to follow to get back to progressing this, at best, mediocre plot.
The manhwa diligently portrays the FL as a smart/calculating character only for her to be oblivious to affection and make poor/illogical plans that, of course, end up working at the end of the day. It is frustrating to see these moments followed up by her thinking clearly in dangerous situations or her just showing the ability to carefully and correctly assess things like royal politics. This betrayal and contradiction of character traits are not exclusive to only the FL, but I really don't want to write out them all, for there are too many of these embarrassing moments.
I will say again that I do not enjoy slandering someone's work, but it is just so disappointing that a manhwa with such gorgeous art has this many flaws.
Anyways, my final opinion is that if you just want something that has amazing art and care little about the story, then by all means read this, but, as it stands, this manhwa is unbearable to someone who actually gets interested in the story, and the plot of everything they read.
My final rating is 4.7/10.
Also, if you want something that is similar to this troupe, a manga that has good art and a very interesting/well-written story, I recommend "Like Wind on a Dry Branch" on webtoons.

Before I get to critiquing various aspects of this particular work, I'd like to say that this was a very delightful read, and I recommend you read it before continuing down this review.
But anyways, let's get started.
Story and Plot:
Nothing too special here. It's the not-so-uncommon "1-year contract marriage into leads developing feelings for each other" plot that is done pretty well.
Overall the story is great, some inconsistencies in logic can be seen at the start (but I honestly think it's just due to the translation being a bit weird at the start since everything seems good in later chapters), but other than that
...
the story feels naturally paced and there are barely any moments where the reader begins to question the story/author.
The Author inserts trauma into the backstory of characters which is explored ideally, not too much and not too little.
(I won't mark these categories and only leave an overall grade at the end)
Characters:
Characters in this story are very well made and mostly straight to point (what I mean is characters that are meant to be hated are hatable and likable characters are liked).
The character development in this manga is seriously insane because it doesn't just touch the leads but the supporting characters as well. The main leads have, interestingly enough, good backstories that fit in well with their current/future circumstances and which help it feel natural to tie them together. Side characters don't feel bland and aren't over-used so you don't get to feel like there isn't enough progress between main characters.
Basically, all characters are done very well.
Romance:
This IS a romance manga, but I guess I can say that the romantic feelings between the FL and ML are very well managed in regard to the plot. The halts and the signs of progress in their relationship are all understandable and well-placed.
There are no love triangles and the Author doesn't stretch out the pre-confession phase more than it needs to.
Great sugar-inducing romance.
Overall this was an amazing read. I was looking for something to kill time with but instead, I found a personal top 15 contender, needless to say, I enjoyed it immensely. I certainly recommend this to anyone who likes romance.

This is a rare instance of a manhua drawing me in from the very first chapter.
The Reformation of the Deadbeat Noble Manhwa truly felt like a one of a kind when I discovered it during my mild pit of "I don't know what to read", and as I'm sure many avid readers are most-likely to be struck by this problem more than once, I hope my insights will help someone ease their frustration by indulging in a couple of chapters from this particular story. (smart words=better, change my mind)
The First Chapter:
The first chapter was of course what stood out the most when looking back as
...
to why I actually started reading the series. In comparison to other fantasy/action manhwa, the brief bit of well written narration at the start, that told us the story of some mystical man, ubruptly changing into a setting in which we are introduced to the actual characters felt very unique to me, and the chapters just kept going after that, until there were no more.
The Story: 7.4/10
Nothing too special or too irregular from your usual everyday "MC first weak, then MC become strong" manhwas, but I must say that the MC's power is something you do not see too often in other similar works (never if were talking about my experiences); the scarcity of similar concepts in other fantasy stories and the rather natural pacing of the chapters is what makes the read feel fresh and natural. The only minor flaw is that the events happening in the first 3 chapters might feel rushed, but it's just to get the guy into an academy (where ahem.. the good stuff really starts)
Characters and Dialogue: 8.3/10
The way in which the characters are written is pretty cliche, but not always the bad type of cliche, kinda like the type that makes you smile when it's good and bearable when it's slightly bad. The development of certain key supportive characters is very well made, even going into pretty bad/low traits of these characters (this is very hard without really mentioning scenes from the story, so just trust me). The dialogue is humorous, well-written and well placed.
The Art: 6.8/10
It's nothing too fancy, but it's consistent and simple looking, you really don't need much when the story is good.
Overall Rating and TL;DR: 8.7/10 (and yes I add decimals to my scores cuz I'm quirky like that)
TL;DR:
This is definately one of, if not my favorite manhwas that i've read so far. The story is cliche, but simple and unique with above average character development. I'd say read anything from 1 to 5 chapters to see if it's for you or not.

Kindly skip the next 2 paragraphs of my history with manga and anime if you're not interested in that kind of crap.
Well, this is my first review ever, and it just so happens to be about the first manga I ever read (yeah, I read this before reading the first "Tokyo Ghoul" manga, yeah, I know, Crime very much), I guess I'll start off by saying this.
Ofcourse as my first manga read, I absolutely loved it, in my mind it was a masterpiece, and to this day it's still my number 1 (talking about the whole Tokyo Ghoul manga series). It's no surprise that it
...
left a big mark in my heart and became a momento of manga for me, with all that said, I guess it's time for the ACTUAL review and not just my history with this manga.
!!! POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT !!! READ AT ONES OWN RISK
If you haven't read the manga (wut u doing stupid boi?), you have probably already read the synopsis and came here to read reviews to see if it's worth reading. Or you've already read the manga, and came here to see what people have to say, in any case, you should know that this manga has got it all, it's got the action, it's got that supernatural sh*t, it's got the best waifu, it's got them sex scenes (well, just one), it's got them big plot twists, in other words, it's perfect.
Really well designed characters? IT'S GOT IT!
Well thought through plot twists and story? IT'S GOT THAT! WHO CARES IF WE DON'T KNOW HOW HIDE SURVIVED!
You want some romantic lovey DOVEy stuff? IT'S GOT THAT!
Anyways, if you haven't read it, and are still reading this, go ahead and start now! You do that, while I'm gonna talk about my experiences with this manga.
I loved the story all the way through, being familiar with the first "Tokyo Ghoul" manga, we get to see how Kaneki went from human to ghoul and how his life changed in various ways, and in this particular manga we monitor how he manages on the "other side", the side of the ghoul investigators, a.k.a "Doves".
I basically loved everything about this manga, the art, the characters, the plots, the romance (especially the love scene), everything. As I was reading, I always knew that with every page I read, I was one page closer to the end, and what I hated the most was that even though I knew all that, I couldn't stop myself, after every chapter I found myself craving for more and more, until it hit me, the sad reality of that all good things come to an end. It's both sad and relieving that the story of Ken Kaneki came to an end. It's sad because the roller coaster of emotions ended, it's a bit relieving because now I can finally sleep and also the fact that, whatever happens after the "happy end" is all up to our imagination.
It truly is sad that Tokyo Ghoul is now just a memory, I'm just happy that it's a wonderful memory full of emotions and 0 regret.
I'm sorry for writing mostly about the whole of Tokyo Ghoul instead of only Tokyo Ghoul:re, it IS my first review so please go easy on me. :)
