Although at the time of writing this the second season of the show has not finished airing, I can confidently say that the show is in a good place as the first season ended. The original show's ending was pretty confusing and brought little closure to its amazing growth of Shinji. This movie in the continuity is a separate ending, one that is canon and the fans really like (myself included) If you haven't watched the original show, well then go do that because this movie is the perfect finale to the series. besides that, the movie goes into depth about certain details protruding to Asuka's past with her mother and overall has an amazing soundtrack that never ceases to amaze. This movie was great and I truly recommend it to any fans of the original series.

As the old saying goes, It's not like other shows. This Isekai adventure finds itself on the darker side of things as the protagonist isn't all-powerful and has to work for his accomplishments. This isekai generally was different from the ordinary structure of things and delves into a more dark scenario compared to any modern Isekai. I think many people will still enjoy the show as unlike the second season which skips over lot of content and makes the continuity of things questionable, this first season is in fact enjoyable and contains lots of content. Shonen animes on the outside always contain the same formula and honestly if you've watched one it feels like you can tell the direction of the story for everyone. For Magi that is not the case, with the mysteries of the magi and the future world of the Sinbad anime, this show had potential and succeeded with flying colors. For me I could really feel the emotions the main cast went through, their hardships were interesting and the tremendous growth they had was enjoyable to witness. The first movie of the revamps is fairly faithful to the original content and the only differences are minor. Overall the casting was great and the animation was fluid and felt true to the original style used in the television show. All characters from what I saw had multiple layers of debt that by the time I finished watching the movie I was ready to immediately start on the next one. To me the characters felt fairly real, the reactions they had to the threat of the angels were understanding and the fear Shinji has to get over by piloting the Eva was very surreal
