Both series focus on the mystery surrounding the death of a beloved female student and the efforts of her classmates/clubmates to solve said mystery. They both attempt to uncover the mystery piece by piece with readings from each member, using suicide notes in Isho, Koukai and short stories in Ankoku Joshi. There's a large focus on perspective, warped relationships and deceit, with people in both series attempting to obfuscate the truth but ultimately having everything come to light.

The two read very similarly from start to end; they both feature main male characters whose parents have passed away and a female main character that becomes "family". Both also have the ecchi dialed up to max at the start but mellow out into a bittersweet plot. Mahoromatic is more action-based while Neko Ane is more slice-of-life, but the two have a very similar overall mood and vibe.

Very similar premises, with an event that causes the two main characters to bodyswap. Both manga have a main character with similar "professions" and a bleak view on life, and both touch on how that view can start to change. Change the World feels more complete, but both have interesting takes on what happens when you find yourself stuck in another person's body and life, especially when said life may be less than desirable.
