Dance! Subaru isn't a martial arts manga but it does have other things in common with The Breaker that make it a perfect fit for an unconventional recommendation! For one thing there's the art, the art of both The Breaker and Subaru is unusual, (some would call it classic or old fashioned some would call it weird) but both of the art styles are skillfully used to properly build up to amazing moments or panels that stand out and thrill the reader. Really special art moments. Also the main characters of both mangas dive into a world that most people don't inhabit, for Shioon it's the world of martial arts and the murim, for Subaru it's the weird world of dance. Both characters start out with something special about them that charges their growth, and honestly let's be real it's so much fun reading characters who are awesome at things! But it never goes so OP as to be lame or ridiculous. Both mangas have funny moments interspersed with tragedy and tension and drama! Conflict and the feeling of being different to everyone else in the world. While Shioon is probably more likeable than Subaru, after a while you can't help but come to adore that selfish side of her too. Subaru is someone who denies herself nothing, and that's part of what makes her so cool.
