These manga have the same spirit, with a hilariously hopless main character and a match who is incredibly intelligent. The dynamic is the same as the guys in both series learns to love a girl that while not their equal intellectually, completes them in ways that are hard for them to understand. The endearing friendship of the Protagonists best friends is also very similar in nature as they cheer on their friends in their loves. Both are also long spanning as Itazura na Kiss goes on into marriage, Sensei Kunshu has so far gone through all of high school and is heading towards a married life. There is also the mutual cohabitation aspect, and the mutual love built up by a relentless main character. Both stories share in styles of humor and great characters. They both have a lot of heart.
