It's not very good. Those 4 words can easily describe this show despite it's massive hype and fan base. Now to the reason why it is... Yeah there's a lot of things wrong with this manga and frankly I wish I could love this series but I can't. First off I'm not here to insult anybody who likes as I can see some merit to it, like some of the actions and design but everything else about the story and contradictory is not very good.
Story - 2
First off the story, good start right? Yeah the quality drops down the moment they introduce the Lower

moon 5 Rui, because it's all about the 12 moons now after that. It's always about the upper moons as one of the main enemies. The characters grow so much from off screen training but like most of the things they learned are quite rudimentary. I'd wish they show more of the training about fighting other demons who specialize in certain aspects but the author can't be bothered thinking about unique powers. Albeit the characters are somewhat like-able and by that only 5 characters are. Main trio is also annoying, they have like one or two traits and I don't like how they try to impact deaths because it doesn't seem like it affects the characters besides maybe Rengoku. Deaths were rushed and didn't give closure because their backstories are always in the last moments of their lives or on the verge of their lives, in which gets repetitive real quick. I wished this series had 100 more chapters to give more emphasize and for us to connect to the characters more instead of them to serve like 3 fights. My golly the ending as well was... you can definitely feel it was rushed. The author even tried to milk some chapters by doing some unnecessary comeback that lasted for like 3 chapters.
Characters - 3
I'll start talking about how shallow the characters are before I go with the ones that actually seemed like it had thought into it. Main trio is annoying, there are people who legit defend Zenitsu, he's a creep and chances are you probably are too. Inosuke is cool I guess but not enough as just because he survived in the wild doesn't mean he can do things that are almost impossible for the human body. Tanjiro is too much of your typical shounen protagonist. The rest of the pillars were rushed as they only got their backstories moments before they died as I mentioned before. The demons also follow the same trend but some still have good stories like Akaza, Kokoshibou and Gyutaro.
Now for the like-able characters, starting off with Giyuu, he really seems like a character the author gave some thought to at the very least. A hashira who doesn't view themselves as a hashira as they feel like somebody else could take their place instead, really interesting as a character. Yoriichi, a man who could do it all but failed to, he had the opportunity to end all demons but his humanity and sympathetic heart despite his cold face. Sanemi, the man who fought for his brother and only ended up surviving by himself, really unfortunate tale. Kokoshibou, jealousy took him over but yet was able to get closure at his final moments as a demon. Akaza regained his humanity and decided to end his life after learning his past once again. Really surprises me that these are the most enjoyable characters in my book
Art - 5
It's a hit or miss I guess, I don't like it when they try to blend some comedic style during intense fights. ALSO MY GOD WAS IT HARD TO FOLLOW SOME FIGHTS AT TIMES and I feel bad for the animators. Cool scenes at some points though
Power system - 3
The point of power system is that humans rely on their technique and ability but at times it doesn't even fucking make sense. Demons however get a pass since they have enhanced strength, healing and other stuff. Let's talk about breathing styles albeit very cool, it doesn't make sense as the author doesn't even know if the effects are real or not. Case and point arrow demon fight, how did tanjiro redirect it? Like seriously it was shown that he used like waves to but how? The waves didn't exist and only was in his mind so how? Muichiro's final breathing style, doesn't make on how the demons say there is a fog when they shouldn't even notice. Sanemi also on the last stand using some sort of projectile attack on Muzan. It really doesn't make sense at all because it defies all human boundaries. Your telling me that breathing styles visualizing themselves and doing things aren't even possible in real life suppose to represent the power of the human mind? Don't give me that bullshit that they trained because even that's not how training as a human works.
Enjoyment - 6
Despite me ranting, it still some how gave me a somewhat enjoyable read as most of the time I had my brain turned off however on my second read with my brain working I started to notice the problems it had.
Really, all this praise is just coming from UFOTABLE hype and nothing more. There's nothing special nor rather good about this series other than like 3 things. You can like it but I objectively see it as a bad manga that had potential but dropped as the author didn't know what to do with it.
