I'm a sucker for isekai anime, and this one is pretty good. It manages to both have a lot of the classic isekai fantasy trope/cliches while also not having them. The writers figured out how to do the same stuff that's been done in a hilarious way that's fun to watch. Its not really a parody, just well written. I would highly suggest watching this if you like fantasy or comedy or isekai in general. Its not a perfect show, but there is surprisingly strong writing. This show is the definition of hit-or-miss. I really enjoyed watching it, but it is absolutely absurd and nonsensical. A good portion of this show will leave you just "????????". While this show absolutely works best in its short episode form, I almost would have preferred it if the episodes were longer and the story was fleshed out more and more continuous. Although I don't know if that would make it better or worse. While the breakneck absurdist comedy is fantastic, there comes a point where its just too confusing and weird to follow. I think that the place of this show is kind of undeserved. Yes, its extremely entertaining, but its pretty flawed in a lot of ways that I'm sure many others have commented on. While I would call it great, its more hit or miss than some would lead you to believe. The first two seasons at the very least. The plot is pretty nonsensical, and a lot of the characters are unlikable. The art is also questionable. If you are going to watch this show, I would suggest that you watch it with friends. Its a good show, but not a masterpiece.
