Amnesia is an anime based off an a otome game made in Japan. While the anime is separate from the otome game, it still feels more like an advertisement to play it, then an anime. It contains 12 episodes, and is a reverse harem. This is shoujo so keep that in mind before watching.
Story: 8.98/10 (*Review Begins)
A girl wakes up after having collapsed with no memory of who she is with a spirit that only she can see for company. No-one can know that she has amnesia is it made evident that it has not been caused by her body or mind. The heroine, surrounded
...
by handsome gents in the cafe she works at, must piece together her life with the help of her spirit companion. *While the anime is focused on our herione recovering her memories, the romance plays a bigger part. The mystery is intriguing, but the epsiode pacing is very awkward. The first half is dominated by the romance and the men she is dating in the alternate universe, so when she does figure out how she lost her memories, it is in the last two episodes. Having all this information being thrown at you in the last twenty minuets makes the ending seemed rushed/forced. The layout epsiode is predictable and same every two episodes (each boy gets two episodes). They meet, depressing back story, kiss, and then boy changes.
Character: 9.13/10 (Note: Each boy is based off a card suite in a deck of cards)
Heart: ♥
The Heart is Shin's route. He is our Herione's very sarcastic boyfriend. Apparenly they were childhood friends and he was family zoned, and they finally started dating. Shin still feels stuck in the family-zone, so now he does everything to get out (forcefully making out when she says no). Heroine also helped him in the past.
Spade: ♠
The Spade represents Ikki's route, and he is mega super popular with girls. When he was younger, he wish on a shooting star to be more popular with girls, and it came true. After 3 months the girl leaves him, and now dating is a game to him, seeing the next victim he can't seduce. The only problem is that Ikki can't seduce our herione, and usually he can just by looking the girl in the eyes.
Clover: ♣
The Clover shows Kent's route, and let me say, he doesn't get his fair share of episodes! He only has one, and his actions are very intellectual and calculated. He doesn't have very much experience with dating, so there relationship is so awkward, that it's hilarious. He is the only boy who realized he wasn't with the right herione.
Diamond: ♦
The Diamond is Tomas's route. He is the creepiest by far, he loves our herione so much, that he drugs her and puts her in a cage so she is 'safe'. Yandere much? Anyway he does love her and though I was like wtf? when watching, it was a really good route.
Joker: ?
The Joker is the oddball of the family. His route is so confusing, I had to watch it twice just to absorb it in. He has been following her the entire time (stalker) and is the only character I can say that truly loves her. It's hard to explain, but you have to watch the anime. Anything that I say about him in some sense is a spoiler.
Herione: *
She is the probably the biggest let down. The fact that she didn't have a name didn't bother me, it's her lack of personality. She didn't speak much, and she didn't move the story along whatsoever. The boys were even started to get fed up!
Sound: 9.98/10
The opening and closing of this anime is the best ive heard yet (it's on my iPod). I loved the opening, modern, catchy, and eye popping. The voice acting for the guys were awesome as well, each voice fitting the personalities of the character. The herione barley said anything though. She usually made sound of confusion/ disbelief. She also did the long, melodramatic pauses where she uttered her bf's name in a wisper. Those are annoying as heck.
Art: 10/10
The art was the saving grace we needed for this anime. For what the story is lacking, this makes up for it. The color scheme is beautifully done, each character designed differently. The herione is dressed uniquely and so are the men. The eyes are AMAZING. The eyes pop and are animated in an original way, as I haven't seen them that way before. The boys in her harem are attractive and overall this was beautiful. If you want to see top quality animation, this is a must see. A+
Enjoyment: 10/10
This anime was a great watch, the story was captivating, and I adored the opening and ending theme. I watched this anime 3 times and each time I was still captivated by the beauty of the art.
Overall: 9.73/10
This anime is very well done, the art, sound, characters, and sorta story is very unique. Overall this anime did have its flaws, but for an anime based off an otome game, this did a great job. I reccomend that you are a person who prefers to watch reverse harem before watching, as the genre doesn't suit everyone. The mystery is good, and the romance factor is exceedingly prominent, and that is good or bad, you decide. Enjoy!

Starry☆Sky is an anime that is a series of Japanese otome game visual novels created and developed by the software company Honeybee. It was separated into four games, the first released in 2009, with three love interests in each, making a total of twelve possible love interests. It was well received in Japan, having Drama CDs, countless manga adaptations and a 26 episode anime adaptation. While it was revived well for many of the otome games, the anime is a swing and miss at bat.
Story: 5.19/10 (*Review Begins)
Tsukiko Yahisa is the first female student to attend Seigetsu Academy, a former all-boys school specializing in astronomy.
...
She is closely watched over by her childhood friends, Kanata Nanami and Suzuya Tohzuki, who often protect her from the male student body. Throughout the anime, she befriends other young men whose personalities are based on the Western zodiac constellations. *While the plot seems captivating, it didn't keep me intrigued for very long. The herione, Yahisa is the ONLY female? While this is a reverse harem, and many people don't watch anime for it's realistic factors, the animators also claim this a "slice of life". That seems a little too exaggerated then. The episode pacing and layout are very irritating. The pacing is very slow, and episode 9 still feels as though we are at square one. The layout of meeting each boy is very repetitive, following the same layout every two episodes.
1) Small talk. 2) Flashbacks. 3) "Deppresing" back story. 4) Rather, Rinse, Repeat.
I wish I was joking. Seeing as each epsiode is 10 minutes long (sometimes feeling like 30), each boy gets to have two episodes. The layout gets old fast, and the "depressing back stories" are as far as i see it are dumb. You are half-French? Your life must be so terrible. You have a laugh that everyone makes fun of? You poor baby. While some boys have legit back stories (terminal illness sucks), they only get to those in the last few episodes so by that point, I don't care anymore. My hopes weren't that high for a story anyway, seeing as its a reverse harem (if you want to see a good one, watch Ouran Highschool Host Club!)
Overview:
+ Intriguing synopsis
- Stupid back stories
- Layout gets old fast.
- Why is she the ONLY girl?
- Pacing Slow
Art: 8.59/10
The art wasn't super amazing, but it wasn't a piece of garbage. The color pallet was beautifully done, and the characters on how they are animated are okay. The men and woman are attractive, but the scenery wasn't as crisp as it could be. Again had a lot of potential.
Overview:
+Characters animated well
+ Attractive color scheme
- Scenery was shabby
Sound: 6.45/10
The opening was horrible. It was basically a sideshow of all the guys posing and the girl walking around. While the song was a huge EW, the ending wasn't as bad. The voice acting was well done (both sub and dub) it wasn't the greatest thing I've heard. Seeing as there are 13 main characters, I thought they could've tried to shorten the beginning as much as possible as you get only 10 minuets a pop.
Overview:
+ Voice acting
- OP and CL was bad
Character: 3.56/10
Mary-Sue alert. Our herione is one of the most cliche female lead I've ever had the unfortune to lay eyes on. She is over determined (" It's fine! I can carry this!" "Go on ahead I'm fine!") and is waaaaay to clumsy. Those aren't flaws, because in reality everyone is in the least bit clumsy. While she is the prefect girl, the guys have flaws at least. They have the DPBS Syndrome ("depressing" back story syndrome) and some of them are way to over protective. I hate all of them equally, so no I don't have a faveroite guy. Our herione is also a tinsy bit ignorant.
Overview:
- Mary-Sues everywhere
- DPBS Syndrome
- Cliche Cliche Cliche Cliche Cliche Cliche Cliche Cliche Cliche Cliche
Enjoyment: 8.56/10
My enjoyment of bashing this anime is far to fun. But seriously, I actually liked it, even though everything sucked. It's like a guilty pleasure, you know how bad it is, though you keep watching. I'm not sure why, I think it's because it tried so hard to be good, and I have to give it points for that.
Overall: 5.9/10
After adding the scores, averaging the total, I get a well deserved 6. The anime wasn't that bad, but definely has some parts the made me nerd rage. I opt you give this anime a try, but don't take my word for how bad it is. I expect to get a lot of people replying "not helpful" for this review, even though I had to write this stupid review twice. I hope that you will enjoy/ have enjoyed this anime, liked my review, and will give me some feedback. Check out my other reviews, and as always, Enjoy!

This is one of the most frustrating animes of all time, for all the right reasons. With intriguing characters, interesting plot, and a kick-ass female lead, this anime will leave you a memorable impression and will have you scurrying to go read the manga. Remeber to check the overviews for the gist!
Story: 9.59/10 *Review Begins
Once an all boys school, Seika High, a re-owned school with reckless and filthy boys, now has turned into a co-ed. With the female population still being the minority, Misaki Ayuzawa decides to take it in her own hands to make the
...
school better for the girls. Studying, training, and being the first female student council president, Misaki gained the reputation of being a "demon that hates boys". As she works in a maid cafe to support her poor family, a popular boy Takumi Usui discovers her embarrassing secret. *This plot is intriguing, and it applies to many girls trying to prove themselves this day and age. While some parts may be sexist (Misaki working in a maid cafe), it doesn't really focus on her cosplaying at all. Rather it foucu's on her friendships and breaking down the barrier to let people in, and having a normal teenage life when she has to support her poor family. If that isn't inspirational, I don't know what is!
Over View:
+ Plot is original
+ Plot is relatable
- Some parts are cliche (sexist)
Art: 10/10
The art is eye-catching, and has a unique choice of colors to design the characters. Misaki isn't your typical big busted girl you see in almost every anime, but rather the kick-ass chick that can clearly pull her own wieght (and even others in some cases). The side-characters are animated in an intriguing way, and the male lead is attractive too (but not overly attractive in a cliche way).
Overview:
+ Characters animated well
+ Characters aren't overly attractive
+ Unique color pallet
Sound: 9.97/10
The voice acting (in subbed) is attractive, pleasing to the ear, and very fluent. The voice fit the personalities of the characters (this is a MUST to me), especially Misaki's. Misaki's voice is unique and fits her character very well, it's not the annoying chimpmuck voice, but rather a soothing voice on the deeper end. This suites her personally perfectly. Usui's voice is attractive and pleasing. The opening theme song "Keep My Secret" is perfect for the anime, but not as catchy as I would've hoped. The scheme in the begginig in fantastic, and I watch it every episode (even when my iPad is 6 percent).
Overview:
+ Voice acting done well
+ Ending is catchy
-Oening doesn't entirely fit the anime
Character: 9.96/10
Misaki was a refreshing badass female lead (FINALLY) and is one of my favorites. She has flaws, such as Hero Syndrome (always having to save the day), and this is my faveroite aspect of her. This is found in far too many male leads *cough* SAO *cough*, and having it in a female and having it done well was a punch in the gut! I was surprised that they didn't make her the "innocent big-eyed beauty" for a plot being surrounded around a Maid Cafe. She also trains, studies, and is the Student Prez. Finally a female lead that doesnt follow her man around like a puppy! Usui was funny and wasn't an asshole all the time, and wanted to protect her, but he knew she can pull her own weight too. He is handsome, and is a great character while not being the 'perfect' man to set foot on Earth. The side characters were amazing, but didn't go into much depth as I hoped ( i.e Yukirmara). Misaki was a tad bit to ignorant about Usui's love though, I wish the animators had made her realize it sooner.
Overview:
+ Personalities weren't cliche
+ Animated well
+ Miskaki didn't follow around Usui like a lost puppy
- Miskaki was too ignorant about Usui's crush.
- Side characters didn't go in depth.
Enjoyment: 10
I enjoyed this series down to the very last episode (though I was mad when it ended), and it left me scrambling to go to the nearest manga store to pick up the newest volume. The characters were intriguing, plot original, and a female lead I liked. It tooke me about 1 day and and to finish (marathon), and I hope you plan to watch this anime too!
Over View
+ Great characters
+ Interesting plot
+ Kick-ass female lead (I know I keep saying this, but it's true!)
Overall: 9.89/10
Overall I give this a high nine, and many of the fact were small details that caused this to be a tad bit to cliche (Miaski was wayyyyy to ignorant). I loved the characters (Yukirmara is my absolute favorite!) and I really liked the entire setup.

As a heterosexual male, I am not into girly anime, so when my girlfriend insisted I watched a reverse harem, I instantly thought this will be a soppy, chick flic anime about who know's what. After watching this anime, I now know how completely and utterly wrong I was. Instead of a perverted anime about 5 guys trying into get in some girl's pants, it is a comedy filled anime that isn't centered around the romance aspect of it.
Story: 9.34/10 *Review
Haruhi Fujioka is a tomboyish, poor female student who enters Ouran Highschool that is populated excessively by the wealthy (besides her). Upon entering the highscool,
...
she tries finding a quite place to study, and enters the Music Room at the school, to her surprise finds the Ouran Highschool Host Club. After showing disinterest, and as she was about to leave, Haruhi breaks the host club's precious vase, and to pay back, she must work for them as a member of the Host Coub. *The story is original, and is actually appealing to not only girls, but to anyone looking for a good laugh. It mad me laugh along with the characters, and I even started shipping character's together (I hope no one finds out I watched this). This anime pacing was great, and the quality of it was better then a few of my favorites. Overall I give it a 9.
Art: 10
The art was high quality, the scenery detailed, and the the characters were animated beautifully. All the boys were attractive (I'm straight), and so where the woman. The animation had higher quality than most *cough* Soul Eater *cough*. I give it a 10.
Sound: 9.56/10
The voice acting was fluent and the voices fit the character's personalities very well. I watched this in dubbed and subbed, and I was supprised to hear Vic Morgonoan play Tamaki Suo in the dubbed. He played this part very well and i give him an A+. The opening theme song "Sakura Kiss" was catchy and modern, while the ending didn't seem to fit that well. Overall I give a very high 9
Character: 8.23/10
The characters design and personalities are refreshing, and the overall appeal of all the Host Club was great. Haruhie wasn't an annoying D.I.D (damsel in distress), the twins were hilarious (though it made me uncomraftable to watch them do the twincest thing), and Tamaki was annoying. But it was your good annoying, because that's his personality and it definitely shown through (lol). The characters were organized very well and it did have lots of character devolpment. 10/10
Enjoyment: 9.41/10 (Oustanding)
I enjoyed this anime, and all of it was great to watch. One thing that bothered me was the parts about "Harhuie in Wonderland" I'm not sure what that was about, but it was diffrent. It reminded me of "Ciel in Wonderland" from Black Butler. Not sure who copied who there. But overall this anime is entertaining and extremely fun to watch. I liked the comedy involved and how it doesn't completely focus on the romance of two characters. Finally a show not about 2 characters getting it on!
Overall: 9.75/10 (Oustanding)
After getting over my myself, and sucking up to watch this anime, I am glad I did. Art, characters, sound and story, are good. My girlfriend is glad I enjoyed it, and I get to pick the anime (SAO FTW). While this was out of my comfort zone, I'm glad I watched it and I hope you enjoy it as well.
TL;DR : Watched a reverse harem and liked it, got brownie points from gf.

Story: 7 (Good!)
The year is 2022, and gamers have lined up on launch day for Sword Art Online, a hotly-anticipated MMORPG that lets players connect to an immersive virtual reality world with special helmets called Nerve Gear. Kirito is one such gamer who's eager to jump back into action, having spent a great deal of time as a beta tester, and quickly becomes friends with newbie warrior Klein. But soon, Sword Art Online's 10,000's of players dicover they are trapped into the virtual game, and the only way out is to beat 100 floors, containing enimes, boss levels, and friends/foes in the game. This animated
...
series has one of the best original story lines, but like all anime, has distinct plot holes. While this is based off a visual light novel, it does skip quite a few key points. Such as Marriage system, the green, yellow, and red, kill system. The pacing of the anime is very awkward, as it starts upbeat and fast first ten or so episodes, but is snowballs as you get further in the series (gets worse the longer it goes). While it does hold confusing aspects, such as going from floor 10 to 55 (wtf?), it does things very well. Genre crossing here is extremely good to, adding the romance of Kirirto and Asuna. Overall the plot holes just seem way too distinct and very confusing, so I give it a well deserved 7.
Art: 10 (Outstanding!)
The art was detailed, and the characters were well animated. The background scenery was impeccable, with many small details that change the entire atmosphere. The animation was definitely one of the strong points in the anime. Kirito was designed well, and looked his age. And Asuna isn't the big-breasted, sexy hot babe anime girl, she is the badass, pretty anime chick. The created them as though they're real, not anything extremely attractive, just nice to look at. This gets a well deserved 10/10
Sound: 9 (Great!)
The opening of SAO is upbeat, and catchy. It has a great tune, and is the perfect song for this Shonen anime. The voice acting for Kitirto and Ashua was amazing, reflecting the personalities of both characters. Ashua's voice just seemed a tad bit to high for her, but overall it was fluent, and the subbed was well done. I recommend you watch this in the subbed version, as it sound cleaner and the voice matched better than the dubbed. 9/10.
Character: 9 (Great!)
The main characters (Kirito and Ashua) are badass, refreshing, and a great couple. They fight well, and both have there indivual flaws. Kirito can be too much of a hero, even if the situation can obviously tell you to back off. Ahsua, can be laid back. These are great, as this avoids the characters of becoming Mary-Sues (characters who are perfect). The one thing that annoyed me the most was the side characters. Seeing as death plays a huge part in this animation, it becomes way to predictable. Think of the worst possible situation (besides Kiririto dying), and it's bound to happen. So, you can bet your ballsack that everytime he is with someone they will die. How am I supposed to care for a character when I just met them? It becomes predictable, and cheesy how Kirito goes on his rampage how "It's all my fault!" . While this is besides the point, this is one thing that bothers me in the anime, and I probably should have gave this an 8, but Ashua and Kirito are way to awesome.
Enjoyment: 8 (Very Good!)
I enjoyed this anime for the first 10 episodes, that is. As I explained earlier the pace is all wrong and snowballs. One thing is did appreciate though, is that the anime didn't end with characters hooking up. This seems how all animatores are ending everything (besides the animes that focus on romance) when they need a 5 minute scenario. I enjoyed it, but somes times I feeled as though I skipped 2 episodes because I was missing some key information.
Overall: 9 (Great!)
After averaging the five categories and adding the scores, it got an 8.6. I rounded it to 9 and I feel as though it deserves this score with all the plot holes. This is an amazing anime that I recommend to anyone who is new, or is a long time viewer. Like every anime there are flaws, and this one just contains the handful in with the story. The characters are amazing, art great, and the voice actors did an amazing job. Please view my profile for any other reviews, and comment if there is something I can improve on. I hope you enjoy your anime! Enjoy!

*Astarotte no Omocha!* (This is anime is intended for older audiences, watch with caution!)
Story: 9 (Great)
Naoya Tohara is the first male to be brought into sucubuss, Princess Lotte's harem. As Lotte is close to becoming and adult succumbs, she needs a male so she can drink his man gravy. I wish I was kidding. If you plan on watching this, I hope your memory is very selective if you don't want to feel dirtier than you did before with a couple facts involiving this anime.
First: Princess Lotte is 10 years old, and looks her age, if not younger. She is the princess of Ygvarland and
...
as I mentioned earlier, a sucubuss to be. Demanding a human to come to her land (as she is a fairy of some sort, in another realm).
Now for our male lead, Noaya, is a 23 year old man, who looks slightly bit younger, and has a daughter, whose 10, the same age as Lotte. If my calculations are collect he has a kid when he was 12, and was dumped on him when he was 15-16 (12 and pregnant anyone?).
Now, Ignore everything I just said.
After getting past the awkward stages of epsidode one (like a first date), everything is completely the opposite. If you came here to see a 10 year old girl suck a lollipop (hint hint), this is not the anime for you. Rather, this anime is a comedy, cute romantic anime. There is fanservice, if you seeing granny panties on a prepubescent young girl at least. It doesn't follow the storyline, but rather Princess Lotte trying to fit in, and gaining new friends along the way. It does hint sexual themes (and not to subtly I might add), I still recommend this for mature audiences, so watch with caution!
Art: 7 (Good)
The art isn't completely bad, but I've seen worse, and I've seen better. The characters were drawn well, men were handsome, girls were cute. The scenes were fluent and nice, and very well done. It was lacking in a better color scheme, but overall very well animated!
Sound: 9 (Great)
The opening and closing themes were catchy, colorful, and very modern. I watched it everytime, and I loved it. The voice acting was great, reflected the characters personalities greatly. The voices were crisp, and as I watched it in subbed, was very fluent. Some animes are very hard to watch in subbed, this was quite the contrary. Some points the characters spoke to fast, or I couldn't quite understand them. Overall I give it a solid 9!
Character: 7 (Good)
The characters devolved well in the first five episodes, but it snowballed towards the ending. They weren't coming closer together, just same characters, different situations. Princess Lotte had a justified personality (meaning she wasnt and asswhole for the sake of being and asswhole), and overall was an adorable character. Noayan doesn't play a huge part as it implies in the synopsis, but rather his daughter Ashua takes the spotlight and is always with Lotte. Ashua is a sweet girl, teensy bit annoying at some parts (aren't we all?) and thier relationship is cute. I give it a 7 :)
Enjoyment: 8 (Very Good)
I enjoyed the adventures of Lotte and Ashua, and was a very good anime. The characters were nice, and the colors were amazing.
Overall: 8 (Very Good)
After adding the numbers together, and averaging there total, it got a well deserved solid 8. While enjoyable, there are a couple of flaws, but very rarely. I recommend this to older audiences, and hope that you will/have enjoyed this anime.
