Managing to avoid most of the major spoilers thus far, I decided to give the My Hero Academia anime a shot. Cosplayers and bystanders at conventions have sworn that this anime is one of the top. Growing up watching the classics, I can't say it is in my top 3, but it is in my top 10. The animation style is unique and has charm to it. From the positive message of how learning new languages can bring you closer to other cultures, to how when someone can't experience much in the world, they will find someone who will show them. The animation contributes to this romantic and soft tone, and the music gives each scene an incredible score. Looking at their lips and corresponding that with what the voice actor(s) are/is saying is such an amazing detail.
I love the way Yuki describes each person's signing. Comparing Oushi's as more tense because he was withholding his anger to prevent lashing out in front of Yuki. And Itsu's animation had calmer movements even ...

Right off the bat, this is a story of immaculate change and the bond between two siblings. Only being five episodes in, I can see how deep this story really goes rather than looking at in from the surface. Nezuko's innocence is by far the brightest part of this series next to Tanjiro's determination to find her cure. It is an immersive storyline with characters you can't help but love to the point where they highlight the demons were once human as well. My TOP 3 issues with this season would be:
1. New animation. 2. Writing of this season. 3. OP & END song choices. I love a good OP & END theme but for an anime that's about demons and angels fighting a war in the human realm, I find the opening title sequence to be anticlimactic. It doesn't grab my attention and it looks like something from a magical girl anime rather than a fantasy/comedy. The animation style changed along with the company and don't get me wrong, I don't like it. But it does bare more of a resemblance to the manga art style, it's just too ...

After watching this series and its entirety, I can say that with the year this series came out (2022). The show is better than most BUT NOT ALL of the titles I have seen come through. Lately, I've noticed that wholesome family, gangster, and isekai genres have been getting a fair amount of hype. In order to do myself a favor, I decided to put all popular or trending titles on the back burner. Letting myself explore outside of my comfort zone with what I usually like to watch.

I can't say the anime is good but I can't say that it's bad either. Some of the dramatic scenes are animated very well to match the ost. Voice acting is very nice too. It matches the character's personalities well. It's just your average isekai romance anime. But with better animation than most isekai titles. And this does have better writing than Meiji Tokyo Renka and animation. The story is definitely not unique and it's very much like any romance manga/novel I come across online today. I can't really go higher than average with this one. I've seen Kamisama Kiss, Fruits Basket (remade), and even Inuyasha would rank higher than this anime. It's not an isekai, sure. But you have a fairy knight who is 100 years old be in love with a human girl who only shouts his name most of the time they are in trouble. She's able to make her art very well, but when something goes down, the first person she relies on is Shall.
I would even place Akatsuki no Yona above this one. Short story even if there will be a season 2, it ended abruptly.

This series was fantastic. The animation was colorful and beautiful. I did watch the dubbed version first and I love Chise's voice actress. It matches her character so well from the manga. The ending was pretty subtle but cute. It doesn't leave you thinking there would be a season 2, but there is, which makes me more hyped for it to come out. I would recommend this anime to Studio Ghibli lovers and fantasy romance lovers. If anyone is a wiccan or if you know someone who is into witchcore, recommend this title to them. So I will say that this series does have a lot of "plot". There are inappropriate scenes between the main protagonists. And overall, this series can also be considered a "harem". Because the main character is surrounded by all girls. There are hardly any other male interactions. And the anime seems to be centered only around the fact that this schoolboy falls in love with a ghost.
The story that follows in the background behind all of the romance and smut is actually quite interesting. But other than that, there is nothing more than a somewhat developed male and oddly fully developed female student who ...

It is because of Fullmoon wo Sagashite that I stumbled upon this animation. So I expected the art style, sound, and story to be old fashioned. I would prefer reading the manga over watching the anime though. One of the only plus sides to this anime would probably be the curse words. Back then, people could actually swear in dubbed animations. It's great to find gems like that nowadays.
Though I did find some of the voice acting in the dubbed scenes to be meh. And the character development was both rushed yet slow at the same time so it was confusing to watch. Those ... |
