They are about summer and are very touching. Ojamajo Doremi Naisho is an OVA based on a magical girl anime, but I can't help but compare the two for giving the same feels. It still can be watched without seeing the other seasons of Ojamajo Doremi. Ojamajo Doremi Naisho, minus the magic, is about a bunch of kids during the summer, with some flashbacks and surprisingly emotional moments. It gives off a strong feeling of the lessons and purity of childhood, and highlights a theme of growing up. The twelfth episode of Ojamajo Doremi Naisho pulls on the heartstrings. It's a story that will bring you tears, much like AnoHana. They are about a last wish coming true.

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon

Even though they're both a group of transforming magical girls, they're actually very different. Ojamajo Doremi has a younger cast and a more simple plot, but that doesn't mean it's inferior. It has some very touching moments, humor, and gives off a very genuine feel. Sailor Moon has a teenage cast which means (of course) more drama! Sailor Moon is more action-orientated and has a romantic subplot. Both are classics. Usagi from Sailor Moon and Doremi from Ojamajo Doremi can be compared. They're both clumsy, bun-headed airheads who try their best even though they both fall down a lot. (...literally.) There's a boy who teases them, classes they fail, and on top of that they also have an important job as a magical girl! Doremi and Usagi both have hearts of gold under it all.

They're both hilarious slice-of-life and the humor is to appeal to a certain audience (you know who you are! ^^) Doujin Work is all about doujinshi and has a cast of mostly cute girls (and Justice). The humor is a little perverted but it is funny nonetheless. A girl named Najimi discovers the world of doujinshi and her life turns upside-down. In Yuru Yuri, there is one girl who likes to make doujinshi (Kyouko Toshinou), and there is an episode involving her dragging her friends to Comiket. Aside from that, there are tons of running gags and all sorts of funny. A lot of the humor from both the shows resemble one another. Also, despite often having a pervy sense of humor, nothing objectionable is shown-onscreen.

If you are a fan of quirky comedies with some cute silly characters in odd situations, watch it! Squid Girl is about an anthropomorphic squid girl who goes on land and adjusts to life with humans. She is clueless and very cute. Her goal is to conquer humanity, de geso! In Panyo Panyo DiGi Charat, Princess Dejiko and her friends come to earth and have a lot of silly and whimsical adventures. Their goal is to make people happy, nyo!

Cheerful magical girl stories with sweet young girl protagonists with secret magic powers, filled with warmth and a lot of heart. Happy and sad moments are in both. They are both very good series with characters you will love. Cardcaptor Sakura is about mysterious magic cards, and Ojamajo Doremi is about being a witch-in-training.
