Roughly the same comparison as Yami no Koe / Fuan no Tane, Shin Yami no Koe - Kaidan is a different anthology in the respect that it has some continuity with its predecessor. Fuan no Tane has no real continuity with its stories, each lasting between 2-6 pages roughly, and within that thin limitation, the stories still manage to be as interesting as the works within Shin Yami no Koe - Kaidan.

While both are horror anthologies, Yami no Koe has more girth to each tale. Fuan no Tane has short, quick tales that remind someone more of a myth or legend with little-to-no information surrounding it. It adds a surreal aspect to it that Yami no Koe doesn't have, but Yami no Koe is more like a one-on-one dialogue with every detail necessary to tell a horrific tale.

Both are anthology volumes that contain a series of horrific stories. Where Yami no Koe is more in line with the mystery of the horror bent on ruining things you once thought innocent, Kyoufu Kansen is more like a gory American made film on a low budget with gratuitous graphic violence.

Unlike Shin Yami no Koe - Kaidan, Kyoufu Kansen does not have a previous anthology that may carry certain themes or characters. It is a singular volume with no continuity to follow.

Kyoufu Kansen and Fuan no Tane are horror anthologies featuring different stories that have little or no connection between them. Kyoufu Kansen has far more girth to each anecdote while Fuan no Tane limits itself to 4-6 page horror stories that can be read swiftly, yet still deliver. Kyoufu Kansen is more graphic and largely original tales. Fuan no Tane is a mixture of original tales, Japanese folklore, and even has one of the authors own paranormal experiences.

Kyoufu Kansen is filled with contained stories with no link to each other, spanning a wide variety of fatal anecdotes that can be read shortly. It's also far more graphic. Murder Incarnation, while still filled with horror, is more of a suspense-filled narrative where each story is it's own contained narrative with a single paranormal trope shared between each chapter.
