The definition of starting off strong and becoming incredibly mid i had to watch it 1.2x.
The start of the ep is actually really compelling as it shows total devastation, characters being absolutely butchered and so on but the rest of it really messes up everything randomly changing the tone of the OVA to a light hearted one. THE LAST FIGHT IS SUPPOSED TO BE EPIC WHY IS IT 5 MINS LONG BRUH.
The animation is nothing special and at times its worse than the original 7 mins series. The theme song is mid and every dialogue is ass: now don't get me wrong i wouldn't mind

After many years i decided to re watch it and i knew that i shouldn't be expecting some crazy plot, characters or really anything that makes a series good normally, with this being a mecha and all. I was in for the cool ass fights and animation and i was GLAD i finally found them, however they always feel a little too easy or even short and since that's really all the good the series offers it's sad. I mean, if you get into this expecting some actual character writing or incredible plot you’re just dumb. I actually enjoyed watching this and it had the potential of being the best getter related project I’ve seen (especially since the animation in the first ep was really good). However the animation does get worse and the enemy robots character designs are ATROCIOUS ffs. I WISH THIS WAS FUCKING LONGER DAMMIT BRUH. THIS is what I expected when i was watching Shin Getter Robot Armageddon and I was so happy that when I started this I actually found amazing animations and cool robot fights with a simple story. My main problem is that with it being only 4 ep long it underexplored A LOT of cool shit that we had a glimpse at: the ufo, some robot transformations i cant describe, the original getter team and so on, with a good writer and more eps these concepts could’ve Made WONDERS.
Also the american robot is fucking dumb and sucks ass ...

Ok let me start by saying i absolutely knew what I was getting into when i started this. I knew i was here for the cool designs, trasformations and robot doing crazy stuff but DAMN if the series was bad. BRUH it felt RUSHED and SLOW at THE SAME TIME, HOW. shit was so bad it took me out of “there are cool fights” around half of it when I realised most of the animations were reused and the rest was bad.

Honestly I picked up this manga because I knew it would've been a fast read and because of the artwork, and honestly, those are the only things this manga brings to the table.
