"We'll always be together, no matter how far apart."
-Romeo
Romeo and the Black Brothers, otherwise known as Romeo no Aoi Sora, and Romeo's Blue Skies, is a classic series, made by the World Masterpiece Theater, a production from Japan which bases it's audience to younger viewers, but could be appreciated not only by the children, but to the adults.
In the beginning of Romeo and the Black Brother's, tragedy strikes; Romeo sells himself as a chimney sweep in order to get the money to pay for a doctor. On his way to Milan, Romeo meets Alfredo, another chimney sweep, and the two quickly become best
...
friends. Romeo and Alfredo meet other chimney sweeps later on, and all of the boys have to adjust to the harsh life that awaits them.
The adventure, drama, romance, slice of life, and historical features of Romeo and the Black Brothers didn't appear right away. The pacing is quite slow, but comes together in the end. However, because of the lack of ratings, the show was cut short. The pacing quickened a bit, but wasn't too much of a drastic change. The quality did change though, but is impressive overall. I mean, the quality and pacing doesn't have to be perfect, nothing is perfect!
I tend to ignore the sound in everything I watch. Does this mean the music in Romeo and the Black Brothers was terrible? No, it just means I simply didn't pay attention to the music. Though, I'm sure the sound is as beautiful as the anime, but I faintly remember saying to myself, "the opening and ending song reminds me of a bunch of annoying children."
Romeo, Alfredo, Bianca, Dante, and every character involved played and impacted the anime in a ton of ways, and were never useless. I liked every character here, and loved the fact that I got to see the background of some of the characters, to see what happened to the boys before they were chimney sweeps. Most of the characters have one trait in common, honesty. I have to admit, I was sometimes annoyed that Romeo NEVER lied, but that's what makes the character, the character.
Overall, Romeo and the Black Brothers, otherwise known as Romeo no Aoi Sora, and Romeo's Blue Skies is a great anime. With the story, art, sound, and characters, who can hate an anime as wonderful as this?

"All of you evil bastards who only know how to sneak attack. I'm not going to be defeated by all of you! Uncle once said, a strong person must make their friends and kin feel safe and free of worry..."
-Season 4, Episode 33
The Legend of Qin tells the story of the fall and rise of the Qin dynasty, and during this time, Jing Tianming, along with his uncle and friends, struggle to find peace in this dangerous time in the world.
In the Legend of Qin, anybody will be amazed by the
...
martial arts, fantasy, action-adventure, romance, and history that intertwine together to tell the story of not only Jing Tianming, but his companions.
With the combination of the story line, characters, animation, and sound, the Legend of Qin is one of the best Wuxia's of all time.
Having a good story line is a need for anything. With no outstanding, amazing story line, it's like having peanuts without the butter. In the Legend of Qin, there's definitely a story. From episode one until episode thirty-four in season four, the story will captivate anybody, and have everyone begging for more.
Jing Tianming is my favorite character throughout the Legend of Qin. However, Old Man Ban, Gao Yue, Ge Nie, and everyone else will surely captivate your heart. Each character has their own unique personality and their own piece to play. The story just doesn't involve Jing Tianming, but has other main characters that will make you laugh, cry, scream, but most importantly, happy.
The animation is one of the key points of the Legend of Qin. Ever since I saw episode one from season one, I fell in love. Even though I'm watching the Legend of Qin on my computer screen, I feel as though I see Tianming and the others in reality. As each season ends and a new one begins, the animation only gets better and better, and sometimes I forget that the Wuxia isn't real, and I'm actually in reality.
I always hated the sound in anything. I never paid any attention to music in general, but the music here changed my viewpoint. I used to skip the opening and ending songs, and would get annoyed if music played while a character was talking. After actually paying attention to the music, it isn't half bad. Although the music is great, the music didn't contribute to my liking of the show.
In conclusion, I fell in love with the Legend of Qin, and I recommend all anime/wuxia lovers to watch this.
