These two anime are very similar for their biggest main difference. While the main character from Kareshi is hiding behind a facade of perfection, the protagonist in Ao Haru Ride is avoiding persecution from her fellow female classmates by acting in ways that she thinks her male classmates will find unattractive. Alas, potential love interests enter their lives, and become well aware of the girls' false pretenses.

...then you might like Zankyou no Terror add

Do you like attractive and charismatic young adults getting wrapped up in terrorist plots, then look no further than Higashi no Eden or Zankyou no Terror. Both of the main female characters inexplicably find themselves helping out terrorists, but why exactly have these young men decided to lead such a dangerous life to begin with? Only time will tell.
