I feel as this adaptation could of been so much greater than it is right now. Don't get me wrong, it's still good but this adaptation doesn't live up to my expectations.
Story (adaptation): 5/10
As a Manwha reader, this story actually was one of the biggest influences for a lot of the anime genre along with SAO. I personally loved it (i rate the manga 8/10). The adaptation does somewhat follow the story but they add unnecessary bits and pieces making it more confusing for new & returning watchers. A lot of the pacing is off aswell.
Art & Animation: 8/10

art and animation (although not as well in the manwha [art]). Everything feels fluid and it gets me hyped when ever we do get a battle scene. I'm still hoping they can adapt the quality of art the manwha has i in later episodes.
Sound: 7/10
Not too memorable, but there are some moments where the sound make it all so much better.
Enjoyment: 7.5/10
I enjoyed the fight scenes a lot. The manwha and the anime have a lot of contrast between them, mainly because of art but I love the fights in both versions. Otherwise, the story bits in-between were pretty subpar (mainly because of them being unnecessary).
Overall, it's probably not for you if you're looking for a fresh, new, fantasy. This was, after all, one of the godfather of power fantasies. I recommend you this if you want something fun to watch Read the manwha if you want the full GOATed Solo Leveling experience.
