Amazing show, beatiful animation, a simplistic art syle, and very ambitious thematic writing.
This show is so good it is hard to ask more from, however the only thing keeping this from being some of the best anime in the world is the thematic inconsistencies.
Spoilers from here on: At the end of season 3 there are 2 things that bugged me. I enjoyed how mob had to accept the emotional and psychic part of himself, and I enjoyed how his emotional/psychic part of himself accepted his attempt to be good and normal. This checks out as a good moral, a good theme, and it resolved
...
itself with mob so well.
The 2 issues are:
1. How was Reagen's lie about being a psychic able to take Mob out of his rampage but the LITERAL POTENTIAL DEATH OF HIS BROTHER AND FRIENDS not something able to do that? I get Raegen was the 1 person in Mob's life who cared about both sides of Mob so it checks out thematically, but emotionally just doesn't resonate because the confession is framed so dramatic, but literally the entire audience knows that this was a lie from the FIRST EPISODE. The confession is a joke played off as the most dramatic moment of the season and it was jarring to watch. Still great but jarring.
2. We do not see any ways that this affects Mob's life after he's rejected by Tsubomi. What we get is the scene with the cat at the end of s3ep12, but this idea of him climbing up the lamppost only fortifies his NORMALNESS not his EMOTIONAL/PSYCHIC parts... the parts that he was having so much difficulty accepting.
It was just... not there... and the solutions to these issues were 1. Make Raegen's confession not dramatic comedy. Which is unrealistic, but then there should have been a different person to break him out of it. and 2. show mob casually using his powers for good, without hiding it. The whole point was self-acceptance without neglecting the things that connect you with people, and then they only showed the things that connected you with people, and none of the good uniqueness of Mob's psychic powers.
Dimple coming back didnt need to happen at all, it kinda undercuts his dramatic leaving and sacrifice for Mob, when Raegen almost dying in the storm was plenty enough drama for the scene to work.
Personally, it should have been Mob's brother to break him out of the funk, and Raegen's confession should have been the one to fail, if we are trying to make the rampage warranted, and the falling out of the rampage more believable.
It is an amazing show that just needed a few writing tweeks to hit even harder. Also there was a lack of high quality animation moments in S3 compared to S2 and S1, there wasn't that 30 second Sakuga moment that everyone fawns over, but that's just so small.
This Show is amazing and can teach you so much on how to interact with people and how best to live your life. Much love to studio Bones!

The only thing that keeps it from being a 10/10 anime is that the show means nothing. It is not satisfactory of an ending. It was a journey, but it is overall meaningless to all the characters, and to the audience members... outside of something super shallow like "don't go over the edge" or "Life is meaningless, so who cares about anything else." All they have to do is either let 1 more person live, or kill everyone to give the audience some catharsis, yet they do neither... and they have this wishy washy ending where it looks like themes were achieved and endings met,
...
but there was nothing there, nothing meaningful. The childish dream that seamed to be the slight glimmer of hope at the end was equally as shallow, because it was achieved without David.
If I was any of the characters that survived this ordeal, not as myself but thinking what they would do, they would end their own lives because the world was just that corrupt, the joy sucked so dry, and the meaning so empty. The themes are lacking and leaves you asking why I just watched this show outside of the animation voice acting and music. The story is hollow, like the world they inhabit. The characters' dreams are hollow, even when fulfilled.
The Main Characters are a bunch of violent children who murdered for money and died for money. The only one who lived (who we care about) was the one who dreamed for something more, and she's the one punished for that, living another nightmare in this screwed up world.
However I cannot deny the quality of this show. It makes you feel for the characters, making the ones that die actually impactful and not empty... mostly. The music animation and voice acting are top tier, and you are interested in the power system of the world of cyberpunk. Give it a watch... just beware of nudity if that's not your thing to have in media.

Screw Denmark! If you wanted her to go to fricken Denmark SCREW IT!!
(But for real though)
THIS SHOW IS NOT BAD!
Need to clarify it because for some reason it has only a 7.2 on MAL and based solely on that most would think it is bad.
Hanebado has 2 main characters, both of which are unlikable and boring at the start.
We see the tall one turn into a complete incentive piece of crap, then into a genuinely likable Caricature.
...
We see the short one start a peaceful human being, into an insensitive piece of crap, and back into a likable Character. (notice the difference there).
Ayanon is someone who i believe is actually a person, and the amount of emotionally destabilizing events she'd had to put up with in her life make her actions and mindsets warranted.
Nagasaki's personality is non-existant and is just a caricature of someone who works super hard at sports and has a knee handicap. Her character arc in this story is super short to make way for Ayanon (thank goodness). This character arc is just watching Nagasaki being bossy and intolerably rude to everyone... any real teenagers would have called her out on the crap the second time she did it.
Sadly though, this aweful character change is not the biggest sin of this show. The biggest sin is how easy they let off Ayonon's mother. (spoilers about ayanon's mom, skip to next paragraph to skip). Ayanon's Mom left Ayanon when she was in middle school to do 2 things... 1. make Ayanon a better badminton player.... 2. to train Connie. These two things do not warrant LEAVING YOUR DAUGHTER IN JAPAN WITH HER GRANDPARENTS WHILE YOU GO TRAIN YOU NEXT SUPERSTAR! This show does not try to justify this, but it surely doesn't try to bring justice to the child abuse that took place. I believe the quotes from Ayanon's mom were "I know what I did was unforgivable... but I have no regrets about what I've done, and would do it again." The $%&*......? This "mother" if want to give her that title at all, abandoned her daughter because she wasn't good enough at a sport, comes back into her life to see if she's gotten better, and when she verifies that she had, the mother has the AUDACITY to say "come travel with me to Denmark." SCREW DENMARK!!! Tis show would be much close to an 8 if the characters treated this woman with HOSTILITY. Especially the childhood friend who had the mother take Ayanon away from her, but then threw Ayanon out when she was no longer needed. Everyone should be furious, but everyone is jsut so calm and collected i just don't get it.
These two flaws destroy the show's merit from understanding believable character interaction... but there is one thing that makes this show not a 4... and that is the badminton games.
The Badminton games are a fricken blast to watch. After Nagasaki becomes you general protag and Ayanon's trying to prove her worth to her mom through her badminton play, you just want to root for Ayanon to be happy and for her to snap out of her funk, but you also want to make sure Nagasaki doesn't break her knee... so like you don't know how this show was going to end. The last 2 epidodes are wonderful to watch, and by themselves I'd probably rank close to a 9.
So to conclude, this show's animation quality makes the games feel super intense and fun, you do care for Ayanon but only because she's been through hell as a child and you want her to have a win for once in her life that has nothing to do with her mom, and it was just a general blast watching it. Nothing special, and I think the goods and bad's even out each other, but i think this show had potential to be an 8 with just a few dialogue changes regarding Nagasaki in the first few episodes and Ayanon's mom at the end.
Would not watch again, unless it was only the last 2 episodes.

Re Creators is a hidden gem with many flaws.
This isn't caviar, or a well crafted salad... this is one of the best tasting burgers you've ever had in your life
Holes in the plot are everywhere making the comprehension of the story the worst part of the series by a long-shot.
Meteora has the exact same appeal as Rem from Re Zero (probably because the characters have the same voice actress) and she completely steals the show. The other characters range
...
from barely acceptable to pretty OK.
The music was amazingly fitting despite one overused track, similar (yet not a catchy or epic) to Kill LA Kill's "Don't Lose Your Way!". The OPs are just phenomenal and I scream to the chorus on the second OP every time (Ironically titled "Shout!".
Visuals are pretty good for an anime of this age, great action but nothing too special.
The best part of this show is how much fun it is. This is a weeb's best dream. I can only say that this isn't a high quality anime, but it is an escapist fantasy anime for all action weebs to enjoy. It was so much fun all the way through and I have no qualms giving this an 8 for serving its purpose as a piece of entertainment, to entertain.
