I want to describe it as Chinese Gintama but that couldnt do justice to Gu De's brilliance.
It is bold, funny, action-packed and unlike Gintama, it doesnt heavily rely on references. It starts weird but after you pass first 2 episodes, you will appereciate it very much. Personally `wiggling` and `museum` episodes are my favourites.
Shashou Gu De, tells the daily lifes of Gu De and Su La, they are working in an `agency` (supposedly they are assassins) and work on temp stuff and odd-jobs. Due to their incompetence, they usually fail to complete the job and cause trouble to their clients and agency.
Characters
...
are amazing, every one of them quite unique and visually designed well. We have our main chracter Gu De. He is cool, strong, prideful and charismatic but he really has a bad karma. He often swallows his pride and does embarrassing things in order to make money. In that regard, he is a realistic and relatable character. Su La, is Gu De's junior/room-mate who is a genuinely nice and naive kid. Gu De looks after him but Su La is too green to come up with any solution to problems they face. There is also Doctor, who is basically a beyond the time inventor. Although he is embodiment of `incompetent` so everything he invents ended up falling short. Like he invents a protective buble field but he didnt install air ventilation to it, so they almost died due to lack of air when they were in it. And lastly, there is the guy with big lips. He is sleezy and opportunist. Everyone has an uncle like him, he comes around one a year or so, borrow money from your parents and disappear. You think he is cool when you are a kid but when you get old enough, you realize that he is a waste of human. Big lips is that uncle.
OP and ED are fairly good.
Only shortcoming is animation quality. It is one click above slide-show but bearable. Other than that art style is beautiful.
So i recommend this to everyone. You wouldnt regret watching it.
PS: You can find all 26 episodes as bulk in YT. iQIYI (official streamer account) also made it available with multiple language subs in YT.

Before getting into the review, I have to give some background information about Ubel Blatt which will explain the reason many flaws this manga have. Ubel Blatt originally started as a Seinen Dark Fantasy manga but ended up as a run off the mill shounen story due to several cancellations. I think it changed 3 magazines, cancelled then picked up by another magazine. This is the reason why it had ran over 10 years.
Ubel Blatt is a revenge story; MC betrayed by his friends and left to death then raised from death to get pay back. As a fan of dark fantasy genre, I
...
can say this with confidence that it has a great story, at least the first half of it. Top of that, it has very beautiful world building and art that can rival to Berserk (I know it is blasphemy to even think of that).
Story started very strong and fluid, introduced a likeable main character with good supporting characters, as well as well written villians. Everything was going well until the first `forced haitus`. Then quality started to drop when another magazine picked it up. After picked up by new magazine, editoral touches became more obvious. Characters become annoying and stupid, tone shifts from dark to pink. `Forget revenge, we have to fight against evil!` Wtf?Last parts of the manga is straight up main-stream shounen. Everyone gathers together to fight the `evil` then everyone lives happily ever after.
You cannot start your story with main character slaughtering 200 soldiers to whom he has no personal beef, then end it with he is becoming advocate for peace and harmony. It is too unnatural to explain it as character development. I dont blame the magaka for this. Clearly the magazine editors pushed him to turn the story to mainstream so it could sell. Still it is disappointing as hell for me.
Ubel Blatt had the potential to become Berserk but ended up like Shaman King. Still, it has great artwork and a good 70-80 chapters worth of story. I recommend to cheack it out but stop reading when plot strays from revenge or MC disappears after a fight. Just consider him dead and call it a day.

Heibai Wushang is a chinese half anime (10min episode) about 2 incompetent grim reapers and their adventures. First 5 episodes are mostly character introductions then `real plot` kicks in. Story is nothing spectacular but it has a nice world building.
Animation quality is decent comparing most of the chinese animations. At least i can tell it is smooth. Character designs are quite good. They use CG for complex stuff but it is not eye bleeding.
Audio is passable. VA is standard chinese VA but i liked the black haired MC.
In overall, it is not bad. In fact, it is in the good half of
...
chinese animes. You can binge it under 2 hours if you skip ED. There are 2nd and 3rd seasons if you enjoy this one.

First of all, this anime is not going to get a second season. So I read the manga to find out what happened in the end, and it was pretty much what i expected.
Survival/battle royale genre have some of the most entertaining concepts. This one also has a good shlock concept. People killing each other on rooftops. But like most of the animes/mangas in this genre, Tenkuu Shinpan fell into same fatal mistakes. First one is, giving unncessary complicated and tragic back stories to pretty much every character in the anime/manga. This is essentially Fortnite anime, people dont care about woman in the nurse outfit
...
was mean to elderly or guy in gimp suit had cancer before they magically transport to rooftop world. They want people kill each other with creative and gorey ways. What you should do is, giving your 2-3 main characters somewhat interesting backstory so your viewer/reader relate/root for them and leave the rest one dimensional so your story would be smooth. In a genre like this, smooth storytelling keeps audience busy and dont spoil the entertainment. Second mistake is, adding an overly complicated philosophical main plot that they reveal slowly as if it was a plot twist. This kind of mistakes just prove that writing is really hard. You can come up with a good concept but if you are a hack and sloopy writer, your story fall apart really easy. This is what happened in here. When you look from above, it looks like a full block of cheese but when it is on your sight, you realise it as a block of swiss cheese, full of holes. I dont like to say `overly ambitious` but it kinda is.
In general, quality of animation is decent, soundtrack is OK, VA is good. There are lots of fan service which is a MUST in this genre. So if you like survival game and gore, you will have a good time. If you are not into it, just pass. You wont miss much.

Yet another Sherlock Holmes rip off that autistic detective with a gimmick and his/her relatively normal (in the context) sidekick go around and solve mysteries.
I dont want to go in too much detail as it seems like there is one of these animes every season and all of them use same formula. Autistic detective with a gimmick meets the sidekick, he/she helps the sidekick to solve the problem then they team up and contunie solving more cases while detective's `oh so mysterious and tragic` past catches up with them... Basically there is nothing original to delve into. If you watch one of these, you will
...
know exactly what to expect.
If you are a fan of the genre, you can watch it i guess. If not, dont bother. Like i mentioned above, there is one of these every season. You wouldnt miss anything.

I have suspcisions that the author of the series ( manga/LN ) heard the ramblings of 2 kindergarden kids and decided to turn it into this.
Same as the previous parts of the series, it is an over the top power fantasy with try-hard twists. I'd give it a pass if it was a satire but the general tone suggests it takes itself somehow serious. If you watched and enjoyed previous installments, you would also like this but in the end of the day it doesnt put anything decent to to table apart from a new bout. If you reached the point of ` meh
...
`, you can just skip it.
Nothing new in terms of animation, sound etc. Below average like the previous ones. It is a Netflix anime so it's made in cheap.
In general, I dont recommend it. Watch Baki or JJK or the girl's head in the cage (it is actually pretty good) or smthng instead.
