Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo
add

The Witch from Mercury is obviously inspired by RGU, and does a good job at a much more "kiddy", modern (or well future) look at the idea of the similarities of the bride system in both series to how women in the real world are treated as objects for the desire of others and how ostracization occurs to anyone who does not fit the norm. To avoid spoilers, I will end this recommendation by noting that RGU has a much better and motivational conclusion in regards to its main antagonist. If you enjoyed Suisei no Majo you will be incredibly in awe at the brilliance of Shoujo Kakumei Utena, which inspired not just Suisei on Majo but many 21st century works deconstructing shojo and the treatment of girls and women in Japanese media as a whole.

Princess Tutu
add

Princess Tutu like RGU famously broke down and criticized the black-and-white roles of the shojo genre both at the time (late 90s to early 00s) and decades before (70s and 80s) and examine how they not only on an individual level restrict and regress people but also enforce problematic gender roles that contribute to the oppression of the female sex as a whole and the struggles men who do not have traits associated with typical masculinity are ostracized as well as can still despite that oppress women.

Canaan
add

Both series involve a tanned, foreign, white-haired gunslinger doing all she can to protect her long-haired damsel of a childhood friend throughout many trials and people and monsters created due to the darker ambitions of the world of science and technology. Canaan and Maria's relationship has extreme homoerotic and yuri implications, much like the relationship between Jo and Meg. Both series also take place in East Asian countries the protagonists (Cannan and Jo) are not natives of.

Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi
add

I think Hanyou no Yasahime is the "perfect" anime to recommend after someone watches Boruto, especially to those who watched the OG animes as a child that Boruto and Yashahime are sequels to. Both series have poor writing the same level as mediocre fanfiction and disrespect a majority of the characters from their respective original series, especially the female ones (though Naruto females were always poorly written). Watch Yashahime to further ruin your childhood if you had problems with Boruto.

Dance with Devils

-Dumbfounded Main Female Character (Though Ritsuka actually has a backbone and is far more intelligent than Yui, though that's not saying much because Ritsuka is still a very idiotic and terrible character) -Abusive Relationships Romanticized (Though Dance with Devils males are far less toxic) -Main Character is the key to all -Tsundere, Kuudere, and Yandere tropes as love interests -Hidden Family Relationships -Supernatural theme -Have a visual novel (Diabolik Lovers is adapted from an otome visual novel while Dance with Devils was an anime-original that later became a visual novel) -Main character's blood attracts people -Students at school are unaware of the supernatural creatures -Both have delusional fans that try to justify the literal wifebeating tactics the male "love interests" use clearly only because the males are "uwu so hot uwu", though the delusional fans of Diabolik Lovers are faaaaar worse. If you liked Dance with Devils romanticizing "romances" basically being glorified manipulation and sexual assault, having a poorly thought out plot only there for an excuse for "hottie supernatural guys", and the main character making choices so terrible and illogical you'd think she was a shonen female character, then you'll love Diabolik Wifebeaters, trust me! Especially since while the MC in Dance with Devils sometimes defends herself, the MC in Diabolik Wifebeaters is an absolute doormat with no common sense. So for all you people that love your "kawaii sugoi" male waifus despite how terrible they are as long as they're hot, you will have many all-the-way scenes of assault and abuse in Diabolik Wifebeaters. <3

Witchblade

-Both are Japanese takes of western/European folklore and tales (Blood+ equaling to vampires and Witchblade equaling to succubus) -Both are loosely based on older works (Blood+ an AU based of the 2001 movie Blood: The Last Vampire while Witchblade is an AU based on Witchblade the American comic series) -Both have a strong emphasis on bloodlust and the need for blood -Both have a major theme on how adoptive/non-biological family can be more important and have better bonds than biological family -Both deal with sacrifices for family and killing in order to protect said family -Both deal with a MC being the "chosen" one and have to fight clones that were made either with their DNA or in the image of their DNA and abilities -Both deal with ancient relics and traditions and how said ancient relics and traditions in modern times must be put to a stop to ensure the next generation can have freedom and not be forced to a life of misery and suffering -Both deal with unavoidable destiny -Both MC have amnesia -Both MC act differently depending on how much blood and power they consume -Both deal with working for ominous governments/secret organizations that know more then they are telling the MC TLDR: I'm surprised only one other person has recommended these anime together. They are very similar in their themes of blood, family, sacrifices, and dilemmas as well as that things are not what they seem. If you loved Blood+, you'll like Witchblade.
