I think that this anime is one of best ones of 2016. I found the story interesting and many of the characters likable. The Prohibition setting looked real and most of the character looked and dressed right for that time period.For the most part I enjoyed watching the show. There were times when the animation was off-model, but I did not mind it that much. The only problem I had with the show was that I did not like the main character(Angelo ... Lugusa). I disliked him because there was nothing he would not do to get his revenge. He would lied,used, manipulated, betrayed and killed anyone he could as long it severed his plan or they got in his way. He just crossed to many lines for me to find him like able or sympathetic. He was very selfish and had no empathy for anyone but himself. In the end for me he was one of the worst characters in the show. The other character I did not like that much was Fango. Fango's character seemed very out of place in the story. His fashion and behavior did not seem to fit the time period. The character I like the most was Nero Vanetti. Nero was more sympathetic and likable then Angelo because he self-aware and showed guilt/regret and remorse thing he did. He also only killed or hurt other people out self-defense or protect the lives/ honor of his family/friends. I think that in the end he defies the cycle of revenge and show that even if you lose everything you do not have to live on hate to keep going.
