This has to be the cringiest, most self-unaware, oblivious MC with bad inner dialogue and poor plot armour that I've ever watched. It's an incel chuunibyou fantasy with an embarrassing amount of attention on the MC and so much "wow did you see that?"
The art style is very nice.
The characters are flat, incredibly inflexible and change only superficially. Character motivations hardly exist and the writing is about as thin as it can get before tearing.
Does it have the "Hell yea next episode!" factor? No, because there is so much time spent with the MC not being aware of how absurdly good looking and

Current Episode [3]: Wow, what happened? This season so far has lost an immense amount of momentum. Three episodes in and the writers seem to have settled into tropes... the show feels like it's losing its self awareness and the character development is a feeling a bit forced. It could be because things get rippin' pretty good right off the bat, but I will be honest here I feel that you may be better off skipping this one.
Not to sound like a weiner, but I watched this show for the tiddies AND lighthearted but endearing story; right now it seems to be a rapid fire ...

The second season of DXD Highschool was a pretty good continuation of the story we saw in Season 1, but I would say that the storytelling felt a bit lackluster. Challenges escalate as one would expect, except that the enemies seem to be able to power up infinitely. I mean, come on, you can only say "I guess I should get serious now!" so many times.
Beyond that, I'd say that this anime is spectacular good fun. The main character is just a reflection of those who are watching the show, let's be honest; we are all, including the MC, just here for the boobs. ...

Okay, I've finished this anime and have to say it was really, REALLY great! By no means a masterpiece, but as I mentioned in my review while I was still watching this show is very well balanced. Character development, contrary to what other reviews may say, is quite good with the characters being very true to their motivations and developing at a reasonable pace. Something that I really enjoyed about the writing is that none of the characters really did anything that I rolled my eyes at; all actions were measured within reasonable boundaries.
