Both animes includes a heart warming, innocent, and somewhat relateable female protagonist who provides a comfort place for the male leads by sharing stories of past memories of their late mothers. Both give off a light refreshing feeling with rom-com vibes of the female lead being cutely innocent, and the male lead slowly developing romantic feelings with a girl they didn't expect to meet and get along with. Male leads are both popular and handsome.

Both animes have that same fantasy vibe where the female main character is an ancient "goddess: in diguise. Because of her sudden revealed power she requires guardians to watch over her, and is provided with few selected friends she could trust. Both female protagonist both have the innocent vibe, while the main male lead having that strong/ protective atmosphere. Both as well with slightly amount of romance, though Hiiro no Kakera's romance becomes stronger in season 2.

Inuyasha is a half-demon who is neither accepted by human or demons. This may not be the main issue of the anime (which is gathering the shikon jewel) but it does turn up quite a few times. The half-demon himself does partner himself up with a human girl, Kagome just like Zakuro and Agemaki. While Inuyasha and Kagome travel to search for pieces of the shikon jewel, they come across people who need help, which ultimately they both work together, developing a close relationship

The idea of having the main heroine being a part of school's clubs/extra curricular causing her to be busy and experiencing a relationship for the first time, using this an excuse from getting further in a relationship with that one person. The main male lead is also somewhat persistent as Usui Takumi :)

In the first few chapters, this manga just suddenly popped into my head considering how similar it is xD This story starts off as a girl enrolling in a school that just recently accepted girls so the ratio of guy is higher than the girls. First being teased by all the boys, the heroine is in a pursuit to make school a fun experience which includes her "class" known to be full of "idiots." Of coure there is one guy that stands out :D

The character development, the plot between the troubles of the couple - one problem comes after another, where this is one that really takes up almost a quarter of the manga x.x Also the love between the characters is sweet :)

Honestly, Just the main story of achieving a goal is very similar. .....Might be bit of a spoiler..... But at one point when Kirito uses dual swords, so much reminds me of Lloyd Irving. Both of these animes have good story line, character development/relationships, and the thrilling feeling when you want to see what happens next. I would be thrilled if Sword Art Online had a game of its own
