This review contains heavy spoilers about the ending including what happens to the characters and what they do, but does not reveal who the killer is. It also references Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin a bit so if you haven't finished that maybe don't read this.
It's so sad, this show was peak until the ending.
The drama and suspense are fantastic, everything felt so good while watching the show. I was fully invested in the characters and wanted the best for everyone. I felt such strong emotions for Kayo. I wanted to hug her and tell her everything would be alright.
I kinda guessed who the killer

It's not bad. If you want an isekai harem with really hot girls of different species and some ecchi/romance mixed in then this show is fine. The fighting is pretty meh and the story is filled with a lot of flaws and plot holes.
The show is extremely predictable, you already know what's going to happen the majority of the show before you even watch it cause the synopsis tells you everything. He's going to go around collecting the rings aka go find the 4 other hot girls to marry then fight to save the world from the Abyss King. And I'm sure you can guess ... Mar 7, 2025

The beginning wasn't that bad, but the show became pretty boring. There are tons of emotional scenes that feel bland and superficial. Villains exist to have villains and their reasons are lame/dumb, especially the main antagonist. Another eye-rolling "you guys are the baddies who've done really bad things but we don't want to kill you guys cause we are the really good guys".
The entire class gets isekai'd but that idea gets tossed early in the story. The main character doesn't even interact with them at all and goes off to adventure a second time on his own. The only time they are relevant is when ... Feb 26, 2025

The show is stereotypical and predictable but that's what you'd expect from your seasonal isekai trash.
I'm not even sure why they made this an isekai reincarnation when it has nothing to do with it. The entire story can easily be written without it. In fact, you forget that this is an isekai while watching it. The only use that it has is as the source of her basic daily use inventions like a hairdryer or foam pump. People from their world invented things like air conditioners and street lights so her "otherworldly unique item ideas" gimmick is useless. Make her into an inventor with unique ... Feb 15, 2025

I have not seen the original version, only the remake. This review contains spoilers detailing two fighting/face-off scenes.
The show is cute, funny, and enjoyable; however, the middle part suffers from the same issue I have with Spy x Family. The silly situations are fine but eventually, devolve into moments that are so bizarre they become boring. Ranma has to face off against a girl from another school using acrobatic martial arts but can only use gymnastic tools like a ribbon wand or hula hoop. His opponent manages to handicap him by chaining a piglet to his wrist. Ranma manages to knock his opponent out of the ring ... Dec 25, 2024
Contains slight spoilers.
I was looking forward to another royalty reincarnation/time travel/evil person that is actually really nice romance show but unfortunately, the writing sucks and is full off stereotypical tropes. The tragic backstories, serious tones, and every conversation that conveys emotion fall flat. I cannot immerse myself in the story with such poor writing. Everything is predictable and boring. The story setting includes magic. In one scene, the female lead defends the male lead against enemy ship cannons with her bare fists while levitating in the air, then picks up their ship and throws it to the dock. The action and magic fights are comically bad. This anime ... Nov 18, 2024

This anime is probably the biggest fall-off I have ever seen.
The first few episodes were genuinely some of the most interesting beginnings of a show. The concept and story was very unique and fantastic to watch. An honest 10/10 show from the get-go. Then it fell off. Fell off hard. It managed to go from a 10/10 to a low 6/10 by the end. The story branched off into weird stuff and no longer had what made it so good. It became a boring show with predictable scenes, eye-rolling annoying characters, and bad/lame stories. Highly disappointing show and very frustrating to see what could've been a ... Nov 18, 2024

This review will contain spoilers about the romance progression of the show, if you want to know how far it goes keep reading.
After the Rain is a pretty anime, the main character is gorgeous, and there are many close-up shots of her face and eyes. It was an enjoyable watch with many adorable moments. It's a cute romance but it's wholesome and realistic. It does not lead to anywhere. It's a one-sided crush and the male lead has a proper response to an underaged person seeking a relationship with an adult. If you are looking for a story where they end up together, this show ... Potentially a good show ruined by CGI.
The story structure is somewhat similar to Kono Oto Tomare, so if you enjoyed that anime you will likely enjoy this one as well. The biggest downfall of this series so far is the budget. At first glance, you would think this show was created a decade ago and not in 2023. The art quality feels a lot worse than other shows. Hype/tense moments get completely killed by the use of 3D models. 5 episodes in and I'm fairly certain every single performance so far has been CGI. Hard to immerse yourself when the most important and focal point of the ... |
