I dove into this series with the hope of being swept away, and while it wasn’t a perfect journey, it turned out to be a worthwhile experience. The show offers consistent animation, an intriguing cast of characters, and a tightly-knit group of protagonists. The themes of brotherhood and the ever-present schemes threatening the ambitions of the prince, reminded me of Kingdom.
This isn’t your typical action-packed anime. Instead, it leans heavily on dialogue and fair 'strategic' interplay. For me, this approach worked just fine, as I sometimes enjoy anime that prioritize thought over spectacle.
However, my only qualm was the presence of Asebi. Her character, with her
...
lack of depth beyond "innocence," became increasingly exhausting for someone, who values pragmatism in 'this kind of story'. I sighed so much at her presence, I was eventually forced to step away from the series midway through. That said, I recognize this as a personal quirk; and maybe others may appreciate her more than I did.
It’s worth noting that I didn’t finish the show, but I did watch enough to form a well-rounded opinion. While it wasn’t entirely for me, the show is undeniably well-written and deserves a chance, especially for people who prefer dialogue-heavy anime.
If that sounds like your cup of tea, you might just find yourself thoroughly captivated.

I honestly didn’t think this anime would be good, but for what it's worth, it absolutely delivered!
The plot is truly simple yet captivating, with a steady build-up that keeps you engaged throughout. Every scene feels intentional and impactful, adding depth to the storyline and characters. The writing is quite clever, the intensity is thrilling, the protagonist is likeable and the music choices perfectly match each moment. The animation also hits the mark.
This is the kind of anime that studios often fumble, but this one strikes a great balance between humor, action, story, and entertaining relationships. If you can appreciate its simplicity (which works well
...
here) and the otherworld setting, you’ll find it offers much more than meets the eye, earning its place as a standout among isekai anime this season.
I’d recommend this to any fan of isekai or “other world” tropes. The dedication of the animators shines through, and I genuinely believe it deserves a rating above 7.

I genuinely thought it was impossible for this anime to decline further, but here we are. I really enjoyed the first season, especially as someone new to anime back then. But now, it’s not even worth its salt.
The plot feels totally inconsistent, with no setup or meaningful progression. Scenes are tossed in without impact or purpose, leaving you wondering why they’re even there. The intensity it attempts to build is flat, and the music choices only make it worse; bland and completely mismatched.
The opening theme initially caught my attention, but it just emphasized a glaring issue: all the characters now look nearly identical, just with
...
different hairstyles. And the worst offense? They revamped the MILF, who once brought a mature, kinda grounded vibe... but now foundationally looks like all the younger girls. The maturity she had in season one now only shows through the voice acting. That’s a hard minus 5 points in my book.
The anime gets almost everything wrong, Overlord would be a prime example of what this anime reaches for.
I wouldn’t recommend this anime to anyone unless you’re truly out of options. It’s become the kind of series you watch when there’s absolutely nothing else left on your list.

For such a straightforward anime with a weak main character, it's surprisingly good. It doesn't dive deep or get too complex, but it brings something totally fresh to the isekai table that you just don't see often.
It takes a bold step away from the typical isekai formula; where there are no overpowered characters here, no intricate magic systems, and no kingdoms to save. Instead, what "Isekai Shikkaku" offers is a unique slice of life perspective that just feels earnest.
What's most interesting about this anime is its ability to hold the audience's attention without relying on common tropes, but simple fresh humor. The protagonist isn't
...
here to save the world or uncover hidden powers, but to navigate the peculiarities of life in another dimension, as a man whose only wish is to die, preferably with a lady.
Visually, the anime doesn't aim for flashy animation but opts for a more onsistent aesthetic that matches the tone of the story.
I can't believe I'm saying this, given how critical I've been of anime lately, but I'd actually give this one an 8/10.
What really caught my interest was how the story manages its protagonist, I always find myself questioning what he's going to do next.
He simply stands out through his personality and self-awareness, which he unintentionally uses to help out other characters and humorously defeat enemies that come into the story.

I never doubted that this season would keep up the thrill of the previous ones. If you've watched and enjoyed the past seasons, there's plenty more here to like. The story continues to flow seamlessly, with some subtle character progression along the way.
Let's start with a few cons. There's something off about how they handle Tatsuya's 'moments' now. There used to be a buildup to a sweet, subtle glory that took everyone by surprise, but that's hardly present anymore. Sometimes it's more word-of-mouth than actually showing what he's capable of, and the reactions aren't always what you'd expect. It's not a major turn-off but does
...
water down these moments a bit.
With the new freshmen entering the cast, the anime's appeal still lies in the underestimated protagonist, without the cringe moments that go too far in showcasing his strength. The execution of these OP moments remains seamless but holds almost the same impact. The dynamic between him and his sister (Bro-con, sis-con), as well as the chemistry among the cast, is still a highlight.
I've noticed they've focused on improving the vibrancy, art style, and camera angles. It's always nice to see animators putting effort into beloved series like this one. And you'll be happy to hear that the battle scenes are actually better in quite a number of episodes! They've got a certain flow that surpasses the last few seasons.
The aunt is also more active this season, and the show does a marvelous job showcasing her various sides, from her impressive 'assets' to her unique personality and family responsibilities. I was quite impressed by her moves to keep the family untouchable.
And, of course, the best part... the opening tracks by Lisa are as classic as ever! They're something I look forward to every single season.
I wish this series appealed to a wider fanbase and that more people would stop sleeping on it. If you're not already a fan, you're definitely missing out on this wonderful gem.

Alright, let's keep this simple.
The positives are the straightforward story structure, an interesting range of characters, and a consistent animation style that manages to be vibrant without being hideous.
However, my main issue is that despite having a unique cast, the anime goes out of its way to push them aside and doesn't make room for the other girls. If you're not aiming for a harem, then don't develop the girls as intricate characters and make us get attached to them. Honestly, at least three of the other girls are hotter, have better motives, and more interesting personalities than the main girl the story focuses
...
on, which is frustrating. If you can't make a character compelling and interesting beyond a shallow desire to always stay by the MC, don't expect us to root for her. Not to mention the mc is a variant of 'the usual simp protagonist'.
A good example of an anime that handles relationships well is 'Maou no Ore ga Dorei Elf wo Yome ni Shitanda ga, Dou Medereba Ii?' It has interesting female characters (not as unique as this one has by the way) but keeps the focus on the main girl clear, so you're not distracted by the potential romantic interests.
I'm not crazy about the shipping, but I can get behind it and enjoy the narrative for what it is.
But it's even worse when you clearly want to ship one of the girls but start playing the 'will they, won't they' game.
Additionally, the humor falls flat, the story isn't great, it's just okay, and so are the characters. I expected the story to do a better job of making these rare to find waifu cast to shine.
What it does have going for it is the vibrant style, simple story, and the fact that the main girl appeals to a certain fraction of the anime community. All in all, the anime really isn't that great. It's just alright.

A true gem in the sand, and a show I didn't expect anything from but truly impressed me.
It's your typical isekai aristocrat story, except it takes away the OP mc trait and feeds the protagonist with struggles and one tiny advantage to conquer them all.
The protagonist is quite green, weak, and bears the burden of a future that's too grand for him.
But this show still gives the protagonist room to shine while addressing his flaws and fears in an appropriate manner. What stands out to me isn't just the consistent art and animations, but the moments when the anime excels in capturing the characters'
...
demeanor. It truly shines in this regard. The story is well-written, not overly complex, with clear-cut goals: gathering promising talent to become the backbone of the protagonist's domain.
Typically, I'm not fond of innocent and cute characters, but this season has me impressed. The execution of these characters is nothing short of interesting, making each one stand out in their own way. Even the protagonist's fiancée, who falls into a character type I typically don't find appeal in, forced me to admit she has her own charisma that makes her a pleasant presence in the show.
She has her own mind, doesn't preach ideals, and sees people for who they are. And the scenes that nailed her expressions drew me into her character even more. Most notably, the story of how she becomes enchanted by the protagonist was marvelously executed. Her role is well-defined, giving her a perfect place in the narrative, not to mention she's bold as f*ck.
Bear in mind, this praise comes from someone who usually finds such character types distasteful. And additionally, the characterization of Ars's father was flawless. The emphasis on camaraderie truly hits the mark, even the moments when they sit around a table to drink tea. These scenes may not be highlighted, but linger in your noodle for a while.
I won't be forgetting this anime anytime soon. It's a testament to the fact that expressing the appeal of characters all boils down to execution.

In a season filled with delightful surprises, this anime is a major letdown.
I'll be piecing crumbs of what I could bear to retain in the 'Think-Pudding' up in my head, so yeah....
Let's start with the protagonist.
He embodies what we know as the "simp" character; blushing at the slightest hint of cleavage, striving to be the good guy, justice for all, and so on. However, this portrayal fails to give him any real individuality. Amd while I appreciate a show that allows a protagonist to shine, I dislike it when the narrative force-feeds us their virtues. Allow the audience some space to discover
...
these qualities on their own, dang it.
And then there's the incessant praises, 'Oh, that honest side is what I like about you', it becomes tiresome right from the start. Despite being depicted as a popular and talented individual, he ultimately comes across as a bland and uninspiring lead.
Then there's the goddess or whatever.
Frankly, the "loli" goddesses we've seen in other anime are far more convincing than this one. Her demeanor and dialogue are indistinguishable from a typical high school girl dabbling in magic tricks, and none of her grand displays leave any impact whatsoever.
The anime frequently resorts to information dumps, narrating every little detail, even those unrelated to the immediate scene, through dialogue or monologue. It fails characterize the cast, making even the milfs seem like teenage girls. There's no variation in tone or demeanor to differentiate them, just different character designs and voice actors.
In summary, my expectations were low, but I still hoped for a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, I was left unimpressed, especially by the animation.

This anime really turns what could be an extremely boring concept into something fun. The protagonist isn’t your usual simp protag, there's not much notable about him aside from his mild levelheadedness and the fact that he's a crappy detective. he meets a princess from another world and ends up getting blackmailed into hiring her (in a funny, lighthearted way, of course) and with her help, he takes on cases... usually for a loli lawyer.
The story follows the duo's adventures handling simple cases. Each case is not too complex or long but definitely interesting. I came to appreciate how the show strikes a nice balance
...
between humor, work, and their personal lives, which I appreciate.
The princess is a great character, always teasing the protagonist, which is a fun dynamic to add to the story.
However, it seems like the show keeps finding excuses to sideline any non-loli characters and bring in more lolis.
Let me put it this way, for every matured girl that you meet, a loli is introduced. And then, the mature lady is taken out, leaving you with the loli. But to be fair, these loli characters are charismatic and funny, not boring at all. So if you're into loli content, this anime might be paradise for you. Otherwise, you might wanna search for something different.
I’m not totally in love with it, mostly because of the casting choices and how the story introduces characters but doesn’t really reel them in, even though it feels like there’s room to do so. But keeping things simple also isn’t a bad choice. I can definitely see myself watching it till the end if I'm in the really in the mood to watch something to pass the time.

As someone who has stepped away from romance and cuteness in anime for the most part, allow me to share my thoughts on this series. For its intended genre, it is quite good, certainly worth a try. The animations are simple, decent, and consistent, which is all this particular show needs.
The protagonist embodies the classic "tough on the outside, good-natured on the inside" archetype, offering the best of both worlds. The cast, is straightforward and major characters have their own background and storylines. Although it may not be the most compelling narrative, it manages to remain entertaining in ways that'll surprise you.
Despite my personal
...
distaste for the typical 'soft and cute,' I found a fine balance in the main waifu's personality. The other waifus in the story provide an interesting variety of personalities, keeping the show lively and humorous when it's not delving into serious moments.
Also, 'For' has been a pleasant addition to the cast, helping the protagonist learn from his past and discover new aspects of himself. I'm not wild about loli's but her presence in the story is certainly a 'W'. It also helps that she helps massively with the humorous angle.
While I won't delve deeply into the romance aspect, it's a bit slow-paced due to the hesitance/ nervousness of Zagan and Nephy, yet it's undeniably present.
My only criticism is that the show tends to over-explain characters' actions, underestimating the audience's intelligence. However, this is a common issue in anime.
